If you value sleep...

Where do I start' First I signed a six month lease and when I inquired about renewing, I was told I could not renew my lease for 6 more months because my lease would expire in the winter and, "that's a slow time of the year for people to move." I could however, sign a one year lease or rent month-to-month for an extra $200/month...yeah right...read on. The "rules" only apply to the minority of the people. Some people have satellite dishes attached to their balcony's, use card table's and chairs as patio furniture and even have gas grills on the balcony's....really safe huh'' By the way all of these things are in my lease stating they are not allowed. Let's see...our lease stated that bull mastiffs were a restricted breed and dogs over 65 pounds were restricted, but when we inquired about the horse above us...oh, we were taking that breed off the restricted breed list and they were lifting the weight restrictions.
The noise level of the "horse" above me was so unbearable that I couldn't get any sleep at all! I thought either the roof was going to cave in or my neighbors above me were bowling!
If you have kids, forget about a place for them to play...there is no children's playscape. They may however, romp around in the animal feces infested grass, and you may picnic at the picnic table that has the feces filled garbage can near it. I know all of this may sound a bit disgusting, but it's the truth.
Our apartment is nice...a bit chilly in the winter, windows are drafty. The "heat pump" water system that they use here is absolutely pathetic though...hot water lasts around 2 minutes in the shower. The appliances get the job done but are a bit below my expectations.
To sum it up...for the price I would tell you to keep shopping.

Thank you! I really appreciate your input. I looked at these apartments simply because they were located on springmill road.....But, I am hearing you loud and clear - Way to much money! I am better off living in a subsidized apartment complex or else buying a house.

I currently live in these apartments and our lease expires soon, but it cannot be soon enough. We do not even have a dog living above us and I have a hard time dealing with the noise of people walking upstairs. Either they are extremely loud all the time or the walls are made of paper...I'm guessing it's the latter. I also agree that the appliances are below my expectations and did not compare to the model we looked at originally...Not to mention the horrible vinyl color that we were shocked to see when we moved in as it was supposed to be a neutral color and it was instead bright green.
The pool is the best part of the apartments and you can obviously only enjoy that 3 months out of the year, so I would also agree if you're looking for a quite, nice place to live, this is not the place for you.
