I agree with a lot of the previous posts. Management sucks, apartments are noisy, the buildings are falling apart, and the lease contract is a joke.
I chose the third floor when moving here to try and avoid the noise that I had at previous apartments on the bottom floor. Sorry to say, it is just as bad if not worse on the top floor. Lot's of bang, boom, doors slamming, neighbors making noise at all hours. It got to the point where I had to place my bed in the middle of the bedroom so that I could get at least half a nights sleep.
They also lease to young thugs that yell late at night and blare their stereo's. The punks will throw and kick a football around right in front of the complex and the ball will hit the parked cars.
Also, be prepared to hear a lot of beeping and honking from individuals setting their car alarms. You will also hear a lot of alarms going off unintentionally which is really annoying. These cars are usually pointed at or close to the buildings.
There are a lot of dogs that ---- all over the place...even though the complex has ---- stations. The dogs bark a lot...especially when the owners leave them unattended in the apartments!
The building had frozen pipes because of a tenant that moved out and turned his heat off. The heating systems need water to work and because of the frozen pipe issue, I went for a week where my heat would not surpass 58 degrees. I also couldn't use the water. The complex did nothing but say "we are sorry." How about giving me a little money off my rent' The heater ran continuosly because it was trying to heat up thus my electric bill was a lot more than it should have bee.
I also had a huge section of shingles blow off the roof and onto my car causing deep scratching. I was told that my renters insurance would have to cover it. If they kept the dump up in the first place, things like this wouldn't happen.
It is not uncommon to find burned out street lights or halway lights which is a safety concern.
The grounds are kept up and nice but be prepared on your day off-usually Saturday to have the mowing crew there bright and early zipping around on the lawnmowers, weed whacking, and leaf blowing. They start around 8am and stay until about 3pm. There is hardly a break from the noise during that time frame.
I would recommend that you stay away from NTS properties.
