I originally chose this area because I thought it safer than other areas in the city. Boy, was I wrong! I would rather be robbed to my face than robbed by the fine print of a contract as NTS does to its tenants. PLEASE have the contract reviewed by your attorney prior to signing a lease! I didn't, and I am paying because of it. Shame on me, but you can prevent it! It takes perfect 24-hour timing to get out of your lease without excess fees being charged to you.
I have rented 9 apartments in a 10 year period (frequent professional relo's), and I have always been an ideal tenant and have never had problems with previous landlords. Not the case here.
I can also verify other posts that certain members of the office staff are unprofessional and do not work in the tenants interest. "Lost" maintenance requests and notifications that cost the tenant money top this list.
Also...single ladies BEWARE! I was in my second floor apartment with "private balcony" and all the windows open during a nice spring day when several male members of a contractor crew climbed ladders ONTO MY BALCONY to paint the outside of the apartment. I was not respectively dressed, nor was I notified by management that this would happen. I agree with previous poster's assessment that maintenance (staff and contracted) is CREEPY.
Cannot give a worse review to this complex. Better to find an empty cardboard box under a bridge than deal with NTS.
