Apartment Living in 2002!

To all of the previous writers, and future tenants.
Please take this review as one that can be taken seriously. Unfortunatley, I don't find misspelled words and name calling the way to get things done! I prefer to detail things in a more "grown-up" and professional manner.
First and foremost, I lived at Courtyard Square for almost 2 years. Anytime I ever had a maintenance problem, it was fixed in a timely manner. I never had a problem with anyone in the office or the way things were handled.
I believe that MOST (not all) of the complaints regarding the "type" of people who live at Courtyard are from people who obviously don't know the law. For one, when one works in an apartment industry, there are certain laws, such as "Fair Housing Laws" that are to be followed. You cannot discriminate against anyone who applies at your community as long as they qualify under
the property's qualifying standards. It is illegal to discriminate against anyone for the following reasons: gender, age, race, religion, familial status, disability, or creed. ANYONE who disobeys the laws will have a hefty fine. How can one expect a community to turn someone away because of their culture'
As for the young lady in the office who is Hispanic, many people consider that an asset to a company. If you were not real familiar with American customs or not 100% comfortable with the language, wouldnt it make you feel comfortable to know that there is someone in the office who can help you understand' As for the comment about people not speaking "our" language. Did you know that Cambridge Square, Courtyard's sister property, implemented an ESL class, which residents of Courtyard are also welcome to attend, to help those with a language barrier. The ONLY properties in Clarksville to do this.
I think it is fair to say that there are often bad things that are said, and that good things often go unmentioned. It is very possible that the residents who reviewed this community did honestly have problems that were not handled efficiently. I can only speak from my experience, and since I work in the apartment industry, I know that the company who owns Courtyard Square will not tolerate the actions that have been said to have taken place. I think it is important to follow the chain of command, if you can't get anywhere from the local management, try to reach higher. I assure you, any good apartment management company, will always take care of their residents!
