There are things in place that dictate not favoring one race of people over another, a federal law, and yet, somehow in Courtyard Square, there is a majority of --------, many of whom are illegal..Maybe the reason Courtyard is soooo packed with illegal immigrants is that the policy in place to apply for an apartment is not enforced. Yes the rules are there- but what does that matter if the management doesn't enforce it' These management people only have backbone when speaking with people whose language they understand, and never do they seek out translators, as long as those people are paying rent does it matter. It's pathetic!

I currently live in Courtyard Apartments, and Mexican men come out on the patio and in the apartment courtyard and stare at me and any other women in the vicinity. I doesn't help that there are just a handful of women surrounded by predominatly single Mexican men. One tenant told me they are constantly trying to "get with a girl". I try to stay away from my apartment as much as possible. Weirdsville USA!

Perhaps the residents of the Courtyard should take a couple courses about a little thing known as Fair Housing. What is it you ask? Fair Housing is that little rule book filled with laws pertaining to the protection of tenants. That means that regardless of race, sex, familial status, disability, age, religion, national origin, color, and marital status, you can rent a place. In short, whoever qualifies can move in based on that property's income and rental criteria. I think that no one, man or woman, should be afraid of where they live. If you don't feel secure where you live, you need to do something about it. Don't waste time in complaining and take action. Move to a place you feel safe at. If you are so nervous now, why put up with it? If the staff at this property are not up to par, trust me, their bosses would know and would fire them. The staff cannot discriminate, or they would be fired faster than you can spit. That isn't even including the amount of fines they would recieve. On top of that, making remarks about the staff and about the language they speak is infantile. It is most likely a plus to have a staff that can break the language barrier that so many times gets in the way. Why bother wasting time on how someone is communicating when what is important is that communication is taking place. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, it is what our men and women fight for everyday. Keep in mind that we are all on this planet and are equal, and must be treated that way. The next time you think about how only illegals(how do you know they are illegal by the way) are moving in, look up the penalties for not complying with the Fair Housing laws. I'm sure you wouldn't want to break those laws.
