Honest God, I didn't know I was signing a lease to Hell.

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2002
When I first moved in I was really excited. The management seemed to be really friendly, and so did the residents.
About a month or two later, one of the management team quit to work at a local supermarket. She was the only nice one there.
The management is really friendly, until you need something... Like your windows fixed. The day we went to sign a lease, my roommate and I inquired about the pet fees. The lady said that it was a one time fee of $40. I guess it was my fault for being so ignorant, but it was the only apartment complex I looked at, and the only one I've ever lived in. I'd just moved out of my parents house. Well anyways, I went and got a dog, then went to pay the pet fee. Guess how surprised I was to find out that the pet fee was $350. Well at the time I did not have the money to pay for my companion. The only leniency they gave me was one month to pay, they didn't even try to give me a break, after all, I'm not the one who told me the pet fee was only $40. I ended up taking my dog back to the pound where they put her to sleep. I would probably still have my dog, had I not said anything. After all, I could name about eight families who have unpaid pet fees, only because they kept the fact that they have pets a secret, or just didn't pay at all. I guess that's what I get for being honest.
The head manager, (Head -----, if I may) completely denied the possibilty that one of her employees told me and my roommate, that the pet fee was only $40. I'm sorry, I think I would have heard $350, if she would have said that, and I wouldn't have gone and gotten myself a companion.
There are spots in the floor that seem to be either rotting out or caving in, gross. If I wanted to walk around with my feet falling through the ceiling of the apartment below, I would have moved in to the projects. Wait, maybe I unknowingly did, after all, We've had laundry stolen out of their laundromat, (which, by the way, has a combination lock on it, but guess what' it's broken too, huh, who would've thought'). The maintenance, when you can get them to come, do shoddy work. I've had them (try to)fix the same window at least twice, now, I've just given up. I went out and bought some towels to put up against the windows when it rains. Why' because the gutters don't work either. Water leaks into my living room and floods the carpet. MMMM the scent of mildewing carpet padding in the morning. Oscar the Grouch would be in heaven. I could go on and on, but frankly, I'm tired, and hopefully I've opened your eyes to how ------ these apartments really are.
Good luck in apartment shopping, just don't move here, unless you enjoy having something to -----, moan and be utterly frustrated about.
