I'M USING MY CAPS FOR A REASON...DO NOT RENT FROM HIDDEN CREEK OR YOU WILL BE VERY VERY VERY SORRY AND WHILE THEY TRY AND PULL YOU IN WITH $0 MONEY DOWN IT WILL COST YOU MORE THEN YOU KNOW...THE MANAGER AND BILLING MANAGER DO NOT CARE WHO THEY RENT TO BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE THERE...THEY WILL BE SO SWEET AND KIND IF YOUR CONSIDERING MOVING INTO HIDDEN CREEK AND ONCE YOU MAKE THE DECISION TO DO SO AND SIGN THAT LEASE FOR A YEAR THEIR TRUE COLORS WILL SHOW BUT THEN IT WILL BE TOO LATE FOR YOU TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT...I HAVE LIVED IN OTHER APARTMENTS AND HAVE NEVER HAD TO DEAL WITH WHAT MY FAMILY AND I HAD TO DEAL WITH WHILE LIVING THERE...AND OH BOY IF YOU DON'T HAVE YOUR RENT PAID WHEN IT'S DUE(SOMETIMES EMERGENCIES HAPPEN)YOU BETTER LOOK OUT...EVEN IF YOU SET UP ARRANGEMENTS WITH THEIR BILLING DEPARTMENT GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING FROM THE PERSON THAT HANDLES THEIR BILLING BECAUSE SHE WILL CALL YOU A LIAR TO YOUR FACE IF SHE DOES NOT REMEMBER THE ARRANGEMENTS THAT YOU MAY HAVE MADE...AND SHE NEVER REMEMBERS THE ARRANGEMENTS THAT WERE SET UP...VERY PROFESSIONAL!...IF YOU SET UP PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS OR NOT WITHIN A FEW WEEKS YOUR SERVED PAPERS FROM THEIR ATTORNEYS OFFICE (SO THEY CLAIM...WE FOUND OUT THE TRUTH ABOUT THAT FROM SOMEBODY THAT WORKS IN THEIR ATTORNEYS OFFICE)...SO,THEY SLAP YOU WITH ATTORNEYS FEES(OVER $400.00)EVERY TIME...AND SLAP YOU WITH EVICTION PAPERS... EVEN IF YOU HAVE PAID YOUR RENT PLUS THE LATE FEES BEFORE ANY COURT DATES AND THE CASE HAS ALREADY BEEN DISMISSED BY THE COURTS...YOU STILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THE ATTORNEYS FEES!!!!...WE HAD MANY MANY MANY PROBLEMS WITH THE PEOPLE THAT LIVED ABOVE US THE NOISE WAS UNBEARABLE THEY HAVE A SMALL CHILD AND THEY WOULD LET THE KID RUN FROM ONE END OF THE HOUSE TO THE OTHER DAY AND NIGHT AND JUMP OFF THE FURNITURE...I WOULD BE SITTING AND JUMP OUT OF MY SKIN BECAUSE IT SOUNDED LIKE THE KID WAS GOING TO COME THROUGH THE CEILING(PROPERTY MANAGER DID N-O-T-H-I-N-G...WE HAD TO LIVE THERE ALMOST 1 1/2 YEARS AND IT WAS HELL...I USED TO THINK ABOUT HOW MUCH OF THAT CRAP THE PROPERTY MANAGER OR BILLING DEPARTMENT MANAGER WOULD HAVE TOLERATED DAY IN AND DAY OUT???...AT TIMES WE HAD TO LEAVE OUR HOME TO AVOID A CONFRONTATION BETWEEN MY HUSBAND AND THE JERK ABOVE US AND THAT WAS BULLCRAP BECAUSE WE PAID RENT JUST LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE DID AND THAT WAS OUR HOME...THEY WERE LOW LIVES ABOVE US(I FEEL VERY VERY SORRY FOR THE PEOPLE THAT MOVED INTO OUR OLD APARTMENT BECAUSE THE PEOPLE THAT LIVED ABOVE US ARE STILL THERE)...THEY WERE THE TYPE OF PEOPLE THAT IF THEY DON'T LIVE IN THE APARTMENT COMPLEX FOREVER AND THEY ARE ABLE TO EVER PURCHASE A HOME PRAY TO GOD THEY DO NOT BECOME YOUR NEIGHBORS...THEY HAD NO RESPECT FOR THEIR NEIGHBORS OR THE BUILDING...THEIR KIDS WOULD SCREAM AND WHISTLE OUT OF THE WINDOWS LATE AT NIGHT...THEY WOULD PLAY LOUD MUSIC IN THE ROOM ABOVE MY KIDS ROOM LATE AT NIGHT WHEN MY KIDS HAD TO GET UP FOR SCHOOL THE NEXT DAY...THEY HAD PEOPLE LIVING WITH THEM THAT WERE NOT ON THEIR LEASE(I FOUND THAT OUT FROM THE PROPERTY MANAGER WHEN I CALLED TO COMPLAIN)THE DAUGHTER THAT WAS NOT ON THE LEASE WOULD RUN UP AND DOWN OUR HALLWAY WITH HER FRIENDS ON THEIR WAY TO THE LAUNDRY ROOM AFTER 10:30 AT NIGHT...WE COMPLAINED AND COMPLAINED TO THE PROPERTY MANAGER AND ON MANY OCCASIONS HAD TO CALL THE POLICE IT HAD GOTTEN TO THE POINT THAT THE GUY THAT LIVED ABOVE US WOULD GIVE MY YOUNGER DAUGHTERS AND I VERY VERY DIRTY LOOKS AND STARE AT US AND AT ONE POINT BLOCKED ME IN ON THE STAIRS AS HE WAS GOING UP TO HIS APARTMENT AND I WAS BEHIND HIM...I CALLED THE PROPERTY MANAGER AND TOLD HER IT WAS GETTING TO THE POINT THAT HE WAS NOW TRYING TO INTIMIDATE MY DAUGHTERS AND MYSELF AND NOTHING WAS DONE BY THE PROPERTY MANAGER...AGAIN!...I CALLED THE POLICE AND FILED A REPORT...IT HAD REACHED A POINT THAT WHEN WE DID COMPLAIN TO THE PROPERTY MANAGER AND SHE SPOKE WITH HIM AND QUESTIONED HIM ABOUT THE NOISE SHE INFORMED ME THAT HE BECAME IRATE AND YELLED AT HER...THEN WHEN HE GOT HOME HE WOULD JUMP AND POUND ALL OVER HIS APARTMENT FOR A GOOD 5 MINUTES BACK AND FORTH THROUGHOUT HIS WHOLE APARTMENT...TO SHOW HIS ANGER...ONE OF THE MANY TIMES HE SHOWED HIS ANGER FOR OUR COMPLAINTS TO THE OFFICE WE HAD A ROOM FULL OF COMPANY AND THEY WERE ABLE TO WITNESS WHAT WE WENT THROUGH ON A DAILY BASIS AND COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT WAS GOING ON...THEY(THE PEOPLE UPSTAIRS) WOULD BBQ AND WHEN THEY WERE FINISHED THEY WOULD POUR WATER INTO THEIR GRILL(THEY LIVE ON THE 3RD FLOOR)AND THE DIRT AND SOOT AND EMBERS WOULD GO ALL OVER OUR BALCONY IF OUR SLIDING DOORS WERE OPEN WE WOULD HAVE TO HURRY AND CLOSE THEM DUE TO THE DIRT SPLASHING OFF OUR BALCONY FLOORBOARDS AND OUR GRILL AND OTHER ITEMS ONTO OUR RUG INSIDE...WE WOULD HAVE TO RINSE OUR RAILS AND FLOORBOARDS AND GRILL AND SWEEP JUST TO LET OUR DAUGHTER GO OUTSIDE ON THE BALCONY...AND I'M SURE THE PEOPLE BELOW US WERE GETTING ANGRY...CALLED THE PROPERTY MANAGER OUT TO COME AND SEE THE MESS THEY WERE MAKING SHE DID NOTHING AND SAID NOTHING...SUPRISE!!...AS THE MATTER OF FACT THE DAY WE WERE MOVING OUT THE PEOPLE ABOVE US THAT WERE CAUSING ALL OF THIS TROUBLE WERE GETTING BRAND NEW CARPETING...AND WE COULD NOT GET THEM TO FIX ANYTHING!...WHILE MOVING OUT A VERY NICE LADY FROM THE FRONT 3RD FLOOR APARTMENT INFORMED ME THAT SHE WAS ALSO MOVING OUT THE FOLLOWING MONTH DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE PROPERTY MANAGER WAS RENTING TO AND I QUOTE "UNDESIRABLES" AND SHE DID NOT CARE FOR HOW THE COMPLEX WAS BEING RUN... SAFETY....VERY VERY POOR...DRUG DEALERS STARTED TO MOVE IN AND THERE WERE ARRESTS MADE BY THE SCHERERVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT(IT MADE THE FRONT PAGE OF THE TIMES)...ONE TIME I WAS WASHING CLOTHS AND I WENT TO PUT MY CLOTHS INTO THE DRYER I WALKED IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM AND TWO MEN THAT DID'NT EVEN LIVE IN THE BUILDING WERE SWAPPING MONEY FOR DRUGS AND THEY TOOK OFF WHEN I OPENED THE DOOR...BUILDINGS ARE NOT SECURE AT ALL ANYBODY AT ANY TIME CAN ENTER ANYONE OF THE BUILDINGS AND IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN THATS NOT WHAT YOU WANT...SOMEONE WAS SETTING OFF THE FIRE ALARMS IN THE LOWER LEVEL OF OUR BUILDING RIGHT BY THE BACKDOOR ALSO A NONSECURE DOOR...WHEN THE OFFICE WAS DOING NOTHING ABOUT THE PROBLEMS WE WERE HAVING AND NOTHING WAS GETTING FIXED WE TRIED TO GET THE NUMBER FOR THE CORPORATE OFFICE WE COULD NOT GET THE NUMBER FROM ANYBODY IN THE OFFICE...THEY OUTRIGHT REFUSED TO GIVE IT TO US!...WE TRIED TO LOOK IT UP ON OUR COMPUTER AND COULD NOT PULL UP ANYTHING...EVEN THE PAPERWORK THAT WAS FILED THROUGH THE COURTS DO NOT HAVE ANY OWNERS NAMES LISTED...YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH THEIR ATTORNEY(HE IS THE ONLY ONE LISTED)..."HELLO"...THE RED FLAGS WERE BLOWING IN THE WIND!...MAKES YOU WONDER WHY THE OWNERS ACT AS IF THEY ARE GHOSTS?...WHY ARE THEY HIDING BEHIND THEIR ATTORNEY?...IF YOU ARE PAYING RENT AND THE PEOPLE WORKING IN THE OFFICE ARE NOT DOING THEIR JOBS SHOULD YOU NOT BE ABLE TO CALL AND COMPLAIN TO SOMEONE AND TRY TO GET SOMETHING DONE?...I SAY "YES"...BUT APPARENTLY HIDDEN CREEK MANAGEMENT AND OWNERS DO NOT FEEL THE SAME WAY...THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY MONTHLY AND IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS OR NEED SOMETHING FIXED...OH WELL!...AND THATS THEIR ATTITUDE...THEY KNOW THEY HAVE YOU BECAUSE YOU SIGNED A LEASE FOR A YEAR...MAINTENANCE...POOR AND A JOKE...ALL YOU EVER SEE THEM DO IS STAND AROUND SMOKING AND CHECKING OUT UNDERAGE GIRLS...JUST LOOK BY THE GARAGE AT THE OFFICE...MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER COMPLAINED ALL THE TIME ABOUT HOW SHE AND HER FRIENDS WOULD WALK PAST THE OFFICE ON THEIR WAY HOME FROM BEING OUT AND THE MAINTENANCE MEN WOULD BE STANDING AT THE GARAGE BY THE OFFICE AND HOWL AND CALL THEM TELLING THEM TO COME BACK...AND THAT HAPPENED THE WHOLE TIME WE LIVED THERE...YOU WOULD NEVER EVER SEE THEM CLEANING UP THE PROPERTY PICKING UP BLOWING GARBAGE OR TRYING TO CLEAN UP SOME OF THE GARBAGE AROUND THE GARBAGE CANS...YOU NEVER SAW THEM DOING ANYTHING CONSTRUCTIVE...THE PROPERTY MANAGER NEEDS TO DO HER JOB AND GET THAT PLACE CLEANED UP BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE AND EARN HER PAYCHECK AND GET OUT FROM BEHIND HER DESK AND DRIVE AROUND AND CHECK OUT THE PROPERTY AND DO WHAT NEEDS TO GET DONE AND HAVE MAINTENANCE DO THEIR JOBS OR HIDDEN CREEK SHOULD THINK ABOUT CLEANING OUT THEIR EMPLOYEES AND GET PEOPLE IN THERE THAT WILL DO THEIR JOBS...THE HALLWAYS IN EVERY BUILDING WERE FILTHY DIRTY...THE HALLWAYS NEEDED PAINTING THE RUGS NEEDED TO BE CLEANED...THE GRAFFITI NEEDED TO BE REMOVED FROM THE HAND RAILINGS IN THE HALLWAYS THE HOLES IN THE WALLS NEEDED TO BE PATCHED...THE LIGHT IN OUR LAUNDRY ROOM WAS BROKEN AND NOT WORKING DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE LIGHT FIXTURE FILLED UP WITH WATER FROM ONLY LORD KNOWS WHERE AND THE WATER WAS JUST POURING OUT ONTO THE FLOOR AND DOWN INTO THE FLOOR DRAIN(IT WAS LIKE THAT FORTHE REMAINDER OF THE 5 MONTHS THAT WE WERE THERE)...LAUNDRY ROOMS WERE NASTY FILTHY CIGARETTE BUTTS PUT OUT ON THE WINDOW SILLS GARBAGE PILED UP AND ALL OVER THE FLOOR AND IN THE CORNER...LINT TRAPS NEVER CLEANED FROM THE PEOPLE THAT USED THE FACILITIES PRIOR TO YOU AND SOMEBODY IN THE BUILDING MUST HAVE WORKED CONSTRUCTION SAWDUST OR SAND CAKED INSIDE THE WASHER AND DRYERS...I WOULD HAVE TO CLEAN EVERYTHING OUT JUST TO WASH OUR CLOTHS...POWDERED SOAP CLUMPED UP ALL OVER...CONSTRUCTION...TERRIBLE AND A JOKE...WE HAD WATER LEAKING THROUGH OUR FAN IN THE BATHROOM SO MANY TIMES I LOST COUNT(THE PEOPLE BELOW US HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND THERE WAS NO RUNNING WATER IN MY APARTMENT AT THE TIME THEY WERE TAKING IN WATER)...SAME WITH THE KITCHEN LIGHT WE WOULD BE SITTING WATCHING TELEVISION AND ALL OF A SUDDEN WE WOULD HEAR WATER HITTING THE KITCHEN FLOOR AND WE WOULD HAVE TO RUN AND GET A TOWEL TO LAY ON THE FLOOR...SAME WITH OUR SMOKE DETECTOR???...YES,OUR SMOKE DETECTOR...ONE DAY IT STARTED GOING OFF AT THE SAME TIME WATER WAS POURING IN...MY HUSBAND HAD TO KILL THE POWER TO THE APARTMENT AND REMOVE THE SMOKE DETECTOR SO THE WIRES DID'NT START A FIRE...TILES IN OUR TUB AREA WERE FALLING OFF THE WALLS...THE WALLS AND FLOORS ARE PAPER THIN AND YOU CAN HEAR EVERYTHING THROUGHT THE WALLS AND FLOORS...THERE WAS WATER DAMAGE ON THE WALL UNDER THE AIRCONDITIONER WHEN WE MOVED IN AND WHEN WE MOVED OUTNOTHING WAS EVER DONE ABOUT OUR PROBLEMS AND NOTHING WAS EVER FIXED!!!!...THE DAY WE MOVED THE TILES WERE STILL OFF THE WALL AND THE SMOKE DETECTOR WAS IN THE CLOSET...AND THE COVER TO THE KITCHEN LIGHT WAS BROWN DUE TO THE WATER LEAKING IN...IF YOU HAVE A FEW CHOICES ON WHERE TO MOVE..MAKE SURE IT'S NOT HIDDEN CREEK...DO NOT CHOOSE HIDDEN CREEK APARTMENTS THE LIVING CONDITIONS ARE DEPLORABLE...GOOD LUCK!!!!

I am the one that wrote the original response...I feel for the good and decent people that live in Hidden Creek....My family and I moved out of Hidden Creek years ago but do not live very far away...Gloria the Office Manager has let that complex go down the toilet...Everyone that I know talks about the gang bangers and drug dealers that either live or frequently visit the complex...I know that there was a shoot out there a few months back...Police are constantly being disbatched out there...If you have children and cherish them DO NOT LIVE IN HIDDEN CREEK APARTMENT COMPLEX!...And to those that live there Good Luck!...They need to do an overhaul and get new management and office workers and take out all of the trash (starting with Gloria)either that or have the town of Schererville close that place down because it is bringing nothing but crime and crap into Schererville\Crown Point!...Have a nice day!...:)

What building did you live in. I understand your pain, I've been here for 4 years and things have change alot. Maintenance is not the same, ever since Tim (Head of Maintenance) left, its hard to get things fix. I have to say that they have just let anyone move in. Its not the same. They claim that they are putting locks on the main doors to the building, new washers & dryers, and a fountain in the pond. They need to use the money to clean, stain, and paint the decks, not a fountain for the pond. One day someone will get hurt.

Everything this testimonial states is 100% truth. I lived in the same apartments for a year and it was the worst year of my life! The noise, the police and drug dealers, the terrible neighbors-it's all true! Our air conditioner was broken for three months during the summer. We complained almost every other day and it was still never fixed after countless promises. Our neighbors above us would make noise all night and it would sound like a marathon was going on up there. They would even have sex on the balcony above ours! The owners of Hidden Creek should be locked up in jail for being low life slum lords of the worst kind!
