Settlers Run used to be a nice place to live but not now. It's definitely gone downhill since September 07. The townhomes are very nice, very spacious. However, worms come in when it rains. Yes, live earthworms will be on my carpet after a good rain. Of course they dry up and die if you don't throw them outside but I've had at least 5 at a time.

They changed the rules about large dogs since I moved in. Now people can have 2 large dogs, no weight restrictions. People put them out on dog runs and sometimes they break loose and they are right on you. If you have small dogs, you don't dare put yours out there like that for fear they will be attacked. I've had a large dog come after me and my dogs 4 times in the last 4 months right outside my back door with my dogs on leashes.

The police are over here way too often. I even saw them knocking on the apt. door accross the street with a gun drawn. Several cars were either broken into or stolen last summer. I don't feel safe any longer just going for a walk.

Small children are left to run wild with no supervision. They lowered the rent while I still pay the higher rent. The lowere rent brought in all kinds. I've seen trash left outside front doors to let dogs get into it. I had a pork chop bone on my doorstep because of this.

They may have filled up the apartments but this won't last as renters like me move out because it's become unbearable. Save yourself some grief and don't move here unless these things don't bother you.

This is my opinion. Good luck in your search.

You pretty much said it all! My suv was stolen last year when all that happened. The truck was under a security light that had been out for a long time. When we asked them to fix it they said there was a freeze on the budget. I still wonder if the light had been working would my husband still have his truck.

Make sure when you come to check out the apartments ask to speak to ------ the manager. You will see exactly what your getting yourself into, she is rude, condescending and clueless. I highly recommend you look some place else. THE POOL IS STILL NOT OPEN, and every time you call to see what the problem is you get a different answer. It went from having to wait on one small part to know all the pipes needing replaced. I wonder how much it has to do with the fact that there is no maintenance right now and they just don't want to deal with opening it, because who would take care of it, the office staff...lol!!!
