I am a long time resident of Settlers Run. I have just read through everyone of these reviews and am shocked. I cannot believe the nonsense. First of all, this is a wonderful place to live. I am furious over some of these comments. The bottom line is, if you pay your rent, ON TIME, you take care of your place, you respect your neighbors, clean up after your pets and just be a good citizen, you will not have problems. The staff has been great, and yes, there have been many changes over the years, but not once have I ever been slighted on anything. I pay my rent on time, and yes, ALWAYS in the drop box. I have never had a problem, EVER. The new staff is very friendly. It is sad to see Lyndsay go and I am sure they will miss her greatly, she was a real asset to this community. The grounds are always clean, freshly painted over the summer months, all streets newly sealed and painted. It looks beautiful! I have folks living on either side of me, we are all very respectful of one anothers work hours, we don't play loud music when we know we have a neighbor that works nights, we talk as we come and go and are just generally nice to one another. The problems these people are talking about would be problems they would be talking about no matter where they live. So please, ignore those reviews. Truly, it is a nice community. There are some goofballs that pop up from time to time, but they aren't there long. Ususally, they don't pay their rent, they aren't respectful of the property, neighbors or themselves. As for Nik, well, he was wonderful when I needed something done. Always polite, always respectful and I never had a single complaint with him. I will say, if there were any problems, it was when the person that has posted the "I used to Manage this property." She was without a doubt in the wrong profession. I will not go on about this issues with her, but this is definetly not the kind of person anyone would want running their property, trust me. She was a nightmare. As for the not liking your current apartment or townhome, move to another buildling within the complex! The staff is more than eager to help get you someplace where you are happy! You do have choices there!! We have had some rough patches, I can tell, but overall, it has been a great experience for me. But then again, I PAY MY RENT ON TIME EVERY SINGLE MONTH, I AM NICE TO THE STAFF BECAUSE THEY ARE NICE TO ME, I AM RESPECTFUL OF THE PROPERTY AND OTHERS THAT LIVE NEAR ME! If you just live the way normal people are supposed to live, you won't have any problems. It's a great place!

hmmmmm, sounds like a staff member. The prior Manager actually did stuff for us, and even looked into lost rent checks. Gave away free rent at functions, and made sure the sign on US 36 didn't look like it does now. She drove the property constantly, because I SAW HER DOING IT PERSONALLY! She was BROUGHT to the property for a reason, and she did it, then left. I know her, still speak to her, and she is as nice as can be. Lyndsay messed up my renewal letter, as well as my renewal lease three times! I finally called Alexandra, she typed it up correctly, and gave me $100 off of my rent, for my trouble. That's customer service. Sorry, just saying the truth. Lyndsay was nice, Nick was drunk all the time, because he lived right by me, and he even beat up his wife. Give the gal a break, Alexandra walked into a nightmare, and still filled the empty apartments all around me up! They were empty for a really long time. You are obviously not as good of a resident as you claim, or you would know all she did while she was here. slandering her only makes YOU look dumb! She was moved from Avon I think to Settlers Run for a reason. She obviously did a good job or they would have kept her where she was at and put someone else there!

definitely sounds like someone on staff. maybe you don't have problems with the management and property- people do manage to escape these issues, but that DOES NOT MEAN THEY DON'T HAPPEN TO OTHERS! it's not right that you are basically calling everyone who has posted problems a liar. granted, some people do post on here when they are mad about something, or people who have been evicted come on here and trash the community out of spite. if you think the place is nice, just say that... don't deny that there are problems because you obviously don't know! people have legitimate problems with apartment communities all the time, they aren't always making it up like you believe. i'm glad you are having such a pleasant experience with your neighbors, staff, and grounds, but some people just aren't that fortunate. you say you are nice to your neighbors, but everyone living in the community is your neighbor and you just accused them of lying about their problems just because it's never happened to you! i hope you aren't one of my neighbors- i would rather live next to noisy NICE people than a quiet person who is close-minded and thinks they are right all the time!

I believe the original reviewer needs to come down to planet earth soon. I've been here longer than any of you ann I know EXACTLY what has gone on. I ACTUALLY know truth from lies. The curent management is awful and they tied Lyndsays hands to the point where she could do nothing nice for the residents. I'm glad Lyndsay has moved on, even though I adore her, because Empirian was trying to make her as nasty as the rest of their staff. She did not fit into the stupid, drunk mold that they do. Also, maybe you need some counseling, because you cetainly babble.

It's an apartment complex...what do you expect? Of course there is going to be noise and issues. There is a wide variety of people living all around you.
