I moved into Arbor Lakes in December of 2005. I am a picky person, and I get tired of staying in the same place for very long so on 2 separate occasions I shopped around the Elkhart, Goshen and even South Bend areas for a better place to move to. The fact of the matter is that there are NO better apartment complexes in the area. I've seen them all and NONE of them take as much pride in their landscaping, apartment conditions, or security as Arbor Lakes does.

I have lived in 3 different apartments here with 3 different roommates and in every instance I have had to knit-pick in order to come up with any negatives about this complex. If at any time I had troubles with a neighbor (on any side) I was instructed to call maintenance and maintenance always showed up within 15-30 minutes to remedy the problem.

Area Police officers are given a large discount in their rent at this place and as a result there appears to be AT LEAST 1 police officer living in almost every building. Their are security patrols every night, all night, and any crime that may have taken place in this community is few and far between. The management here has been extremely friendly, and seems to take it's tennants well-being very seriously.

I have never had to wait more than a couple of hours for any service calls including toilet problems, washer and dryer issues, and an A/C issue. The one time my A/C stopped working the maintenance team had it repaired and working fine withing a day and a half. I have been spoiled by the staff at this communitiy.

I am currently planning to moving to the South Bend area for a new job, and there is not a single community in South Bend, Mishawaka, OR Granger that can compare to the quality of life provided by Arbor Lakes. Arbor Lakes pays for all your utilites except electricity, yet they still have gas heat, water heaters, and range/ovens, so your electric bill won't be abnormally high.

Not even the othe Edward Rose and Son's communities in the Northern Indiana area can compare with this complex. I know because I've scouted them out. On my recommendation 3 of my best freinds have moved here, my sister has moved here, and my girlfriend has moved here and they all have the same opinion of this place as I do.

BOTTOM-LINE:
If your unecesarrily loud, like to party, and/or use drugs: Don't move here because the management will make sure that your quality of life plummets. Just the smell of pot in the hall-ways causes them to flag you for investigation and possible eviction.

If your respectful of your neighbors, and don't mind communicating with the management: MOVE HERE!!!!! You will save money, and the time you enjoy here will be impossible to match by any other community in the "Michiana" area.
