I moved here late summer of 2005 and am the first one to occupy this apartment. Everything is clean and new. The fitness room and the pool are very nice. The staff is more than willing to help with any of your needs and is very friendly. They are priced at the high end of the market, but are far above apartments you will find for $50-$100 less a month. The kitchen/living/dining setup is very unique, attractive and functional. Other nice features include a car wash bay with a vacuum, as well as a trash compactor away from the apartments (so smelly dumpsters aren't everywhere). The only problems I have had are minor: the sauna has frequent problems, people don't obey the pet rules (although management is trying hard to enforce them), and I have one neighbor who is in love with the bass on his stereo and one above me who stomps around like an elephant (although these types seem to be in every apartment complex). I would highly recommend Lakeshore to people who are willing to spend a bit more to get a lot more, and want to avoid the common problems of lousy upkeep, rude management, run-down living areas, and seedy residents.
