I have lived at Sugar Mill Creek for six years and will be moving soon to buy a house.

PROS: pretty trees, lakes, and good neighbors (have never had to call the office about anyone, and I've had a lot of different neighbors over six years); spacious kitchen and bathrooms; the walls and floors are THICK and you can't hear anyone around you. The maintenance guys are excellent (overworked, though, I'm sure) and they have ALWAYS attended to my maintenance request the same day. Apartments have nice moulding around doorways inside, so that looks nice and polished.

CONS: My rent has increased every year; the appliances/vanities/light fixtures REALLY need to be updated; the A/C seems to be pretty inefficient at this point (needs replacing); and you are not allowed to paint the walls. Also they have gotten very lax on keeping up the grounds in the last several years. Crabapples that fall from one tree on my street get smashed by the cars and then draw geese (and geese poop). Also there is always lots of trash in the lakes now and it's really gross.

OVERALL: Having a safe, relatively nice, and pretty quiet place to live has outweighed the cons for me.
