Don't be fooled into living here

The Timbers Apartments are not what they seem to be when you go in for a visit. The one thing that drew me to The Timbers was "no security deposit". That was definitely the wrong way to choose an apartment. Most people fall for this, but you don't have to. When I look back on my decision I would have gladly paid a security deposit somewhere else in order to live in a more stable environment. I have a whole list of complaints, but my main complaints are (a) the thinness of the walls, you could hear and smell everything from the apartments above, below and beside you. I had a downstairs neighbor who obviously was a chain smoker and my apartment constantly smelled like I was the smoker. (B) A lot of the tenants at The Timbers must be college students because it is very noisy outside and (ex. cars with loud bass, a lot of arguments between couples and drinking buddies, crying babies-you name it, it probably happened outside). (C) The insulation at The Timbers is horrible. In the winter and during windy days I can see my blinds actually moving from the wind outside-and this is when my windows are shut! I called the maintenance office so they would come out and fix it and when I got home on a note they had written that the windows and paneling was over 20 years old and there was nothing that they could do to remedy the problem. They told me to keep the towels around the base of my sliding glass door. What good that did. (D) Parking is dreadful. There are so many people who have visitors that when you get home from a hard days work, you can't even park in front of your building-you have to drive down the street to park. On weekends, it gets worse because all of the partiers have their friends over and it's really hard to find a parking space. There are many other things, but I'll just leave you with these few things. Seriously, take my advice and the advice of others and stay away from The Timbers.
