The Timbers

I have lived at The Timbers for a total of two years, two months. I've always been very impressed with everything this community has to offer. The neighborhood is safe and quiet, the apartments are always clean, and the staff (both maintenance and leasing) are always pleasant and great to work with.

I have always felt safe at the Timbers, which is extremely important as I am a single female living by myself. Every part of the world is going to have crime, of course, but I think what helps with the Timbers is that they do criminal background checks on every tenant before they can move in. And, you have to make a certain income and they do not accept Section 8.

The maintenance has always been excellent! They are prompt and are in and out without a sound...they leave a little note on your door that they've been there. :) I had a problem with my water heater when I moved in (no hot water!) but they came and got it fixed within 24 hours.

The office staff is great, too! When I first moved in I especially liked Dawn, who always makes you feel at home and treats you like you're her best friend. Everyone else is great too! They've had a few employees come and go, but they've all been sweet and gracious.

The Timbers is close to everything! There's a grocery store directly across the street, a McDonalds ajacent to the complex, and the major mall in town is down the street. If my boyfriend didn't live across town, I don't think I would ever have to leave my neighborhood. Everything is here, but the Timbers is secluded enough that things stay quiet.

The apartments themselves are clean and quaint. The appliances are a little outdated, and the overall look is kind of retro, but I like it that way. Who cares if you have the newest appliances if they ones you have work? And you know other places would charge you more for the newer stuff. I care about cleanliness, and these apartments are very, very clean.

I have very few issues with the Timbers. The biggest pet peeve I have is their laundry room. There's no change machine, that is so, so inconvenient when you want to do your laundry and get it over with. Instead, I have to go to the ATM to get cash, go to the gas station to break the 10 or 20 dollar bill, and then to the car wash to get quarters.


No apartment complex is perfect, of course, but I believe that this community is the closest thing to it! I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!! The prices are great, the apartments are great, the staff is great...everything has overall been great!
