Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006
I moved here with my fiance' because I loved the idea of having a lake front apartment. The manager at the time told me that they stock the lake here. I like to fish and thought it would be a really nice place to make for my first home till I'm able to afford a house.
Well reality struck fast and hard with this dump. I moved here in late January of this year. In early February I noticed that there was a big crack right above my shower. At night I kept hearing a water dropping noise so I went to go investigate the issue and it was coming from that crack. I heard this everytime the upstairs neighbor was taking a shower. So I had dirty bath water from the upstairs couple leaking into my apartment. I called the maintenance number to get this fixed. The maintenance crew did come out while I was at work and said that they didn't see a spot where the leak would be at. I contacted them again and it took them a week to come back out. They then patched the huge crack thinking that some cocking and paint would keep water from eventually finding its way back out again.
Another week later the leaking started happening again so I contacted the manager about this issue and he said he'd get somebody right on that, I didn't hear anything back for days till I went back down there and having to yell at the guy to get this mess cleared up. They finally went upstairs and fixed the leak after about a month of complaining.
Our toilet pump keeps breaking and they replace the pump with already broken parts. Took them three trips in a couple weeks time to get this issue fixed.
During the summer our air conditioner wasn't working for weeks and they didn't know what the problem was. Yet again it took a long time to get an issue fixed.
Their features for the apartments are bogus. I had to complain to the same manager countless times throughout the spring for them to put up the tennis net. I was ignored many times till eventually they put it up during the summer. Also they never did put up the basketball goal. Was pathetic watching the kids run around the court throwing a basketball up at the backboard playing imaginary basketball without a goal. The pavement on the court looks like a 8.0 earthquake toar it apart. The pool is really dinky and cheap looking.
My biggest complaint has got to be the laundry mat. They sent out letters in February that they were going to purchase new Washers and Dryers. well its now December and they still have the same horrible appliances.
They have 8 washers and 8 dryers, currently only 4 dryers are working and 6 washers. That is a real issue considering that it only takes 35min to wash your clothes and 45min to dry. If you have 6 people fighting over 4 dryers your going to be standing around with wet clothes for a long time till your even able to dry. Some of these dryers have paper taped to them dating back too October 20th stating that they are broken. How does it take this long to get a dryer working.
Also have neighbors that constantly have the police coming over, this place will bring in anybody. They put out some odd looking doll and a welcome mat that looks like it came out the the trash and is stinking up the apartment. I had to go buy some air fresheners to cover up the stench that was coming into the apartment.
You know I could go on much longer about the lawn care, the poor office staff, etc but I'm not. I'm just glad my lease is up in January.
