If you can fit your clothes into the closets you might want to keep them in boxes. I had my garage flooded when the hose burst in another resident's kitchen only to be told that they wouldn't even pay to clean up the water because I should just claim it on my renter's insurance. I too was charged for entirely new carpet though I had it steamcleaned the day we left and there were only minor stains in one of the four rooms in the apartment. The pool, though pretty is small and gets crowded. traffic is bad and if you've read the Indy Star lately several kids report being solicited by people offering them candy from inside cars when they get off the bus.
Never mind the "woodroaches" that they told me couldnt' be helped since I lived next to some trees, how about being charged $40 for an stove hood not being clean to their standards' (Not that it vented, just runs a fan that blows the smoke into your cupboard.)
Getting water on the bathroom drawer made it crumble because it was made of particle board and they tried to bill me for it. EVERY downstairs neighbor I met complained that the person above them sounded like an elephant.
and the seeming cheap rent in the 2.5 years I was there went up by over $300. better make sure your lease covers the entire time you need to stay!
