Parking - There is always a spot within 50 feet of my door. But, some people will have their front doors well away from the parking spots as there won't even be a spot within 75 feet.
Noise - You can hear every time your neighbor's doorbell rings. The central fan is extremely loud, and you hear everything that goes on outside. It is a quiet community but the little noise that happens you hear.
Grounds - They pretend to do something about this but they always take the cheapest method possible. They "repaved" the parking lot which really only mean they sealed it. The parking lot desperately needs stripped down and completely repaved, but that will never happen. Decorative features on the buildings like shutters fell off 8 months ago, but were only replaced a week ago. Although they do keep the grass looking nice...
Haven't heard of any safety problems and every window has a good lock that works, and the doors always have a lock that can only be opened from the inside.
Construction - I have had 3 leaks since I moved in, a gutter that fell down, and they have yet to fix any of these issues correctly. There are a couple nail pops in the floor and the air conditioners seem like they are from the 70s even though the buildings are only 10 years old. The AC barely works and the maintenance staff tells you their goal is a 10 degree difference between the inside and the outside. AC can work much better than that.
Maintenance- You are welcome to submit as many requests as you want, but they will never get fixed.
Staff - The staff is about the only bright spot about this place. They are very nice and remember your name.
The garbage compactor overflows every other weekend and you better ask for an apartment that is not next to the compactor. But on the plus side they are supposably installing recycling bins in the next month.
