The staff is not the problem

If you are on here researching a new apartment, you made a good choice. This shows some of the mishaps and issue the complex has, even if some of the comments are harsh. I have lived here since 2006 and moved in when it was still AMLI. When NTS took over there were some drastic changes. New staff 3 times (complete haul over), new exterior siding and roofs, completely remodeled clubhouse and miscelaneous other stuff. Yes, I think they could have done less with the office and maybe more to the driveway ruts but overall, they were all needed updates. When reading on here about the carpet extraction guy always out here from floods, I don't mean to join the whole "bashing" on the person that left that, but the company is the carpet cleaning company ran by a previous Conner Farms maintenance man. He is super friendly and is here all the time performing carpet cleanings
(not water extractions, I know this because he has done my carpet, paid for by Conner Farms), to help preserve the property. The office even gives out free cleaning coupons during their resident functions. This staff has been here the longest I can remember, a few maintenance changes, but all good ones. The girls are super willing to help and maintenance does what they can to help. I have had my own business for 18 years and I know that with an economy like this and a property this old, you are going to have battles, but this staff seems to really overcome those obstacles.
I think that you have to pick and choose what makes you content. If you don't like low rent, lots of square feet, a nice staff, a renovated apartment, and resident events, then Conner Farms is not for you. You will probably be disappointed once or twice while living here, but I can bet the staff will make up for it.
There seems to be a common denominator upon all the people complaining on here, they were either inconvenienced due to a maintenance problem, which I think in most cases is not the falt of the staff or they were charged a lot at move-out, but if Conner Farms advertises luxary they have to keep up with luxury. And my lease does say I have to leave it in the same condition I was given it, which might be rough.
With people talking about it being ghetto or cars being keyed or that sort of activity, I call their bluff. I have never had an issue in almost 3 years with crime and the place looks very nice, drive through for yourself. And I too asked about a security officer, but the response I was given was the NTS promotes that, if it is needed. But I am also aware that I don't think we need one here. Which would make sense. And if you want to know anything else, contact me on here, I have no fear of telling you the truth. People like to place blame on others and point out their professional mistakes. I can't imagine someone thinking I am perfect and will never make a mistake in my line of business. I think you should take it form an old-fogy, do your research, but remember other people's bitter comments were probably written in the heat of the moment and might hold only partial truth.
