Great...if don't have kids, small dogs, a cat or you're into Pitbulls

Here is Deerbrook's supposed Pet Policy:
"$300 deposit for dogs (non-refundable) $200 deposit for cats (non-refundable) 25lb weight limit, no monthly fee."
Right! There are several pitbulls in the complex, all of which are in excess of 60 lbs. If you have a smaller dog, a cat, or any small children -- stay away! There's no reason to have potentially aggressive/dangerous dogs in an apartment complex like this. I'm a dog lover. But I also know the possible dangers posed by these dogs--this is an accident waiting to happen. Several neighbors with whom I have spoken are now scared to walk their pets, and some (myself included) are even planning to move.
Management doesn't care about the new canine neighbors, which illustrates a constant theme, generally speaking: more than anything, it's lack of attention that is destroying the reputation of the complex.
I've been discussing the possibility of filing a consumer complaint with the Indiana State Attorney General's Office, since Deerbrook is clearly violating their company's stated terms and conditions by allowing very large dogs on the premises. Maybe it'll help them wake up and avoid a VERY COSTLY lawsuit in the future. You'd think that Deerbrook Holdings' attorney would be going nuts right now...but apparently the legally unsophisticated management team is running the show.
In general, it's an overpriced apartment. It used to be a good deal before the prices went up and the riff-raff started moving in. If you look around a bit, for the same money, there are many better spots around the Fishers/Castleton area.

Seriously, I don't understand what is so wrong with Pitbulls. Of course they can be dangerous if put into the wrong hands, but you are living in Fishers, I seriously doubt you have many dog fighting punks.
If you are afraid of a pitbull, you might as well be afraid of any other type of dog because they can all be vicious and agressive if that is how you train them.

I agree, Efrazier. Why would anyone be that worried about someone walking a pitbull? Has the dog threatened you in anyway? Probably not. Has the owner and the dog chased you with the dog barking and snapping? I doubt it. So you're going to threaten to move or sue because of a pitbull? Ok...little over the top. There are many dog owners in the complex and all of the people that I have come across are very polite, respectful and attentive to people walking with or without dogs.
Also, why would someone care if they have a cat? $200 deposit with no extra monthly fee is great! I have a cat (which I don't walk on a leash, so my cat doesn't have to fear the scary pit bull) but I walk around the property to dump trash, check the mail, etc., and if I saw someone walking a pit bull, I wouldn't think twice...it definitely depends on how the dog is raised. Any dog, not just pit bulls, can turn and become aggressive if they feel threatened or if their owner is in danger.
