I have lived in Lantern Woods for the past year and can confirm several of the concerns voiced by others.

The first floor apartments have bugs (ants, spiders and millipedes). I finally sprayed the foundation outside my apartment and they went away.

There is no insulation between apartments. So you will hear them if they are home. If you live on the first floor expect your electricity bill to quadruple. We kept our apartment at a warm 69 deg this past winter, changed the furnace filter monthly and still had 2 bills over $200. Thank goodness it was a mild winter. (People on the 2nd floor pay about $80 in the winter) I checked with other first floor residents and they experienced similar bills.

I can also confirm that the pools were broken a lot my first year, but were open for Memorial Day this year. They have also updated the workout center.

The maintenance men are ok, but it ususally takes 2 trips to fix something.

I also don't believe they want people to live there for more than 1 year, because they raise the price of your rent 5% per year.
