Lantern Woods

 

I don't have a major complaint about Lantern Woods.

It's not bad.

But it's expensive, and when I'm paying a lot of money, I expect more than I'm getting here.

The construction is cheap, the HVAC is inefficient, the layout of the complex and its parking is poorly-conceived, and the office staff...

dear God, the staff.

I've lived here for two years, I go into the office frequently, and they still don't know my name.

I've never seen them smile.

They don't say "hi," wave, or even look up when they pass by on their way out of the office.

The maintenance people seem friendly but I haven't had much direct interaction with them.

Also, be warned that the commute into Indy really, really sucks.

(If you can afford to rent here, there's no way you work in Fishers.)
