I have lived in this apartment community for 3 years now but this is the first time I have posted my comments on this forum. I have read the previous reviews on this property and while I agree with some of the posted opinions, I feel there are plenty of positive things that could be said about this community and a lot of these posts seem to focus on the negative.
I can certainly sympathize with the person that posted their frustrations over the security deposit that they felt was too high because they were having some financial difficulties. I have been there myself and my credit less than perfect (I can't even get a Marsh card). However, when I moved in here 3 years ago, I wasn't required to pay a deposit. In fact, management at the time contacted their corporate office to get approval for my move-in due to my poor credit rating. I had some medical bills that were at issue. At the time I moved into Sand Creek, their special was no security deposit and $1200.00 in rent coupons with a 1 year lease. It was a very good move-in special. Every apartment community has different specials at different times. Sometimes it's no security deposit and sometimes it's a month's free rent or whatever. The place you finally decided on moving to obviously had a no deposit or a "low deposit" special running when you moved in. In addition, while the assistant that called you may have seemed to be unsympathetic to you plight, my guess would be that she probably had no discretion in the deposit amount or the special that they were running at that time. I know the leasing assistant personally, and I do not believe that she meant to give you the impression that she didn?t ?give a damn? and the complex is far from full.
Contrary to one of the posts, I haven't had any problems with the noise level. Perhaps I have very courteous neighbors or a different apartment design than the person that posted their building design/noise opinion.
Finally, I tend to agree with the posts about the land-to-building ratio and the parking problems. Sometimes parking can be competitive. However, I feel that the other benefits of this complex outweigh the potential parking problems. Maintenance is A1. I am very pleased with their response time, and I'm pretty demanding so that's saying a lot. They have jumped a low battery for me twice and last week the maintenance manager even helped me air up a flat tire. The management and leasing staff are also very friendly. They are never too busy to say hello or ask how you're doing. Current management and leasing staff have addressed every concern I have brought to their attention and their professionalism has been nonpareil.
