I signed my lease in May with Angel--the old staff. She was awesome! Couldn't say enough good things about her, very welcoming and professional. When the new management came there were letters on my doorstep every other day complaining about pets, grills, etc.. that "would not be tolerated". Wow, that's homey. I felt like I was getting reprimanded and I don't even have a dog or a grill! The real fun came when I went to turn in my notice to move out. Just so everyone knows--they don't ask you if you're planning on staying, they just assume you will. So when my 35 day notice wasn't good enough, I had to EXTEND my lease for a month. WHAT''' I signed a 9 month lease, which to me means unless I specify, that I will be leaving at the end of my contract. No, now I'm stuck for another month and paying more than my original rent for month-to-month and I don't even live there anymore! Staff and management are a awful. Not willing to make residents happy, not willing to negotiate, POLICY--it's all POLICY. That's NOT what I want to hear. For all the money I paid for a one bedroom apartment that didn't even have a patio or balcony, I think I should be treated with some respect. Oh, and the note "We WAS here" written in black sharpie on my door one day. That's got to be the utmost of professionalism, right' haha...this place is a joke. Don't move in...move to Lakeshore in Castleton, they're good.

I know what you mean. I turned in my 60 day notice 2 days late and they made me stay another month. When I called the lady said it didn't matter if I turned it in an hour late, there was nothing they would do.

Totally agree with you on the lease!!! Heck, the lease states our move-out date. They tried to tell us as well that we would have to extend our rent one more month!! She told me, a lease doesn't matter!!! BS!
