The management is unresponsive, unavailable, and make promises they do not keep. The apartments are in poor repair and do not appear to be cleaned and painted prior to move-in of new tenants. The manager does not appear to treat tenants equally and fairly. I calculate that 80 percent of phone calls I have made to the office are answered by the answering machine, and my calls are returned approximately 50 percent of the time. "Emergency" maintenance has a pager and sometimes calls back and sometimes doesn't. There is no clear policy regarding what constitutes an emergency. I was required to pay a $200 deposit when I submitted my application and was shown a "model" apartment, but was not told until after I submitted my application that if my application was approved and I chose not to move into the apartment I was assigned my $200 would not be refunded. I was asked to sign a lease without seeing the assigned apartment, and then when I found faults with the apartment, the management made promises in order to have me sign the lease that they did not keep. I have stopped dealing with the office. I will pay my rent on time, call them only when necessary, live out my lease and will then leave as soon as legally possible. I do not recommend this community to anyone for any reason--unless you are desperate to find an apartment that will let you keep a large dog with few to no restrictions.
