The apartments themselves are nice. The office is extremely nice to you when you sign up for an apartment, but it's pretty much downhill from there. They started issuing new "requirements" such as paying with money orders. Do not fall for their "referral" program either. They do not pay referral fees. They also just sent us rental increase of over $200.
When we first moved in, they were well priced, well maintained units with a friendly staff. We learned, however, that this was a front and that they are in fact more interested in squeezing every dollar out of their tenants than providing a quality living experience. Unfortnate, as the ----------- is known for credibility and honesty. I fear that if the ---------- knew how their apartments were being run, they would be very dissapointed.

My family and I have been long time Devonshire residents and won't be going anywhere soon. I have never met office staff as friendly and on top of things as here and I've lived A LOT of places. The rents have gone up but not suddenly we were sent multiple notices when it was time to renew and they had gone up slightly but that happens in apartments regardless of where you live. You get what you pay for here. I wouldn't trade my beautiful apartment for ANYthing in the world. My office staff knows me and my family by name and even loves on my pets when they come in. FYI you are asked to pay by money order only if you have written bad checks, they don't have a problem taking my checks. If you read your lease agreement you would know that after so many bad checks you have to provide guaranteed funds. If you are not happy here then there are plenty of other places that dont know the meaning of customer service head there and you'll see what smoke and mirrors really means :(
