Buyer be Wary with Current Management
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 4/14/2004
Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
When we moved in, the managment team was friendly and as honest as could be expected. However, we no longer recognize anyone in the office. Office staff turnover has been horrific and, as a result, verbal agreements made with previous staff members are no longer valid under new management.
The overworked maintenance staff does the best that they can, short of replacing defective appliances and hardware. They are encouraged to "make it work" rather than spend the additional money to replace, resulting in multiple maintenance calls for the same repair. Example: Air Conitioning unit was repaired six times last summer costing extra money to the tenant on utility bills.
Contractors that are hired to prepare the apartment for new tenants do shoddy work. What could be done satisfactorily in two or three days, is done as quickly as possible the night before the new tenant takes ownership.
Otherwise, the structures are sound, noise is generally minimal and the community is relatively safe.
