I have lived at Polo Run off and on for the past 4 years.
I have actually transferred to 3 different apartments here.
I don't understand where all this negativity is coming from''!! I started out in a 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment here with my husband and daughter.
The apartment was a little small, but worked well to help us save some money.
It was a nice starter apartment.
Then, we needed more room so we transferred to a 2 bedroom in a newer building.
It took a while to get the one we wanted, but eventually were able to move into a larger apartment with a washer/dryer hook up and it hardly cost us anything to move.
We bought a house after that and I learned what there is to APPRECIATE about apartment life!!! As far as maintenance issues...if I call about a problem, someone is there by the next day at the latest.
You people complaining about maintenance...guess what!...when you buy a house, YOU have to do your own maintenance OR pay for it!!! Every maintenance guy I have talked to has been nice and seem to know what they are doing...which is more than I can say about other places I've lived! I got rid of my house and moved back into Polo Run because I had such a good experience with my other 2 apartments.
The staff seems to be organized and they have always been kind to me and taken care of my issues when I have them.
It is right in the middle of Greenwood, just across the street from the mall and tons of restaurants.
If you're not happy here...move out! Make it better for those of us who enjoy living at a friendly, quiet, beautiful apartment on the south side!!!

Reading this made me so much more happier about applying :]. I have been told bad things simply because of those 2 reviews. But I thought 2 reviews out of the 600 some people living there, thats off.

You can't possibly be serious. You also can't pre suppose or assume that just because you found this living community a positive one that everyone else will too. Based off my personal experience and what i've read, people have case spacific complaints that you may not get the full understanding of, because of course you are not in their position. There are common arguements being made about polo run as well. The neglect, abusive behavior, alcohol and drug free enironment that Polo Run tends to promote is very botherson and troubling to people who just want a cheap quiet place to live or stay while they save for a house. The biggest paradox about all this is, the cheaper the rent the more low life losers slip through the cracks which destroy the peace for the normal hard working adult.
