I lived in Polo Run from 2007-2008, and wish I knew more about it before I moved in from another state. Unfortunately, I took my friends word for it and spent the next 12 months regretting it.
The management staff was the worst I've ever dealt with. Whenever I walked into the office (which was frequent, by the way), they always looked at me like they had never seen me before. They told me the pet fee was 200, but then when i got one they made me pay 299.
My building was one of the oldest ones, all the way in the back, and had horribly stained an ripped carpet when we moved in. Somehow, they charged me over 100 dollars to fix the carpet when we moved out. They charged me 50 bucks to replace the screen in my window that flew out when we had those horrible floods last spring (which I reported to them right away because I had no control over it)!
Not to mention, I know for a fact the maintenance crew would go into apartments without permission for no reason. One time I was in the shower and came out and there was a maintenance guy in my apartment, said something about having to change a vent' and said since I didn't answer he came in. It was totally inappropriate.
And, if you want to use the laundry facility in the building, forget about it. There's one washer/dryer for 12 units. Every time I needed to do laundry I had to wait forever because someone else was always using it, or had left their laundry finished in the washer/dryer and didn't come back to get it.
And if you're a female, don't even think about moving in without being stalked by a guy who's been living there for like 15 years. When we were signing out lease in the office the staff said "oh that's ---, he's harmless!" but somehow I was followed by him quite frequently, and he eventually would come walk his dog by my building and stand by my balcony and call up if i had the window open or if I was reading outside. Also, I found out shortly before moving out that my neighbor downstairs was followed by him before I had moved in. I had to buy a gym membership just so I could work out in peace. Don't bother complaining about him, cause it's been done before and the management could really care less.
My other neighbors constantly fought and had the police show up atleast once a month for some kind of domestic disturbance. The guy would blast music fro his car with his double speakers vibrating through my apartment, whether it was 12 noon, 5pm, or 2am.
Basically, unless you're broke and can only afford splitting 200 bucks a month with another roommate, don't even think about this place. g-hKOS7s4Nq5n3hEIpHd

You are completely right about the laundry facilites. It's ridiculous. Actually, the washer in our unit was broken for 5 months!!!! I had to call their corporate office to get it taken care of after several attempts to get this taken care of myself. My neighbors even tried calling the office, and got no help as well. It was completely uncalled for.
