When we accidentally came across trotters pointe while looking for another complex on a n apartment hunting visit from Ft wayne, we thought we had hit the jackpot. Quiet location, beautiful apartments and buildings, nice gym and convenient to I-65. We joined a future residents list and paid our $25 fee. We didn't get to come back down until moving day several months later, but we knew everything would be great, especially since we had picked our apartment 4 months ahead of time. We got there, signed the lease and then went to the apartment to unpack. First thing we see is that there is a playground next to our front door. That would be great if we had kids... but we don't... and it's very noisy to live next to. I was confused because on the map when we picked an apartment there was no playground shown. Also, there was absolutely no grass anywhere around our apartment. There was plenty of dirt and mud though. As we were moving in, they started planting things and laying down grass and watering it, so we ended up with mud all over the place and all over our things on the back porch as time went by. We were also told that the apartments had state of the art sound proofing. That is complete crap. I can hear everything the people who live above me say to each other in the living room. Our air conditioner broke within the first month. Keep in mind that this place is brand new so stuff really shouldn't be breaking already. Another complaint. The carpet is extremely light colored, almost white. Who puts that in an apartment' We've been here 2 months and it already looks like it needs cleaning! The paint on the walls is very cheap too. If it gets wet, it runs. We've had bugs from day one: spiders, beetles, centipedes, all inside the apartment and I have no clue how they get in. The shower pressure sucks. The toilet clogs almost every day because of how bad the water pressure is. I mean, toilet paper alone can clog this thing. They have "their own cable" for you and it's really dish network, which they expect you to set up yourself and give you no instructions. Plus they charge you well beyond dish networks rates for the service. They are horrible at keeping the grass alive, choosing to water it only once a week, and then for about 6 hours straight which only floods it and drowns it. I've also had an incident where they had a sprinkler pointing at my front door all day, so that I couldn't even leave the apartment. If you call them, you never get a person and they do not return your calls. Plus, only 2 months after moving in, they are renting 3 bedrooms now for the same price as our 1 bedroom, which really just irritates me that much more. Honestly, it's just not worth the price with how dumb and irresponsible the management is.
