Our family moved in in June of 2007, and besides a minor disagreements with the other neighborhood kids, my kids love it here. They love the idea they can go out and join the other neighborhood kids for a football game, or play basketball, or watch someone fish, or just cruise the place on their bikes. On nice days they can walk or ride their bikes to the office, from the condos, and play basketball at the large court, and use the exercise equipment, and in the summer, they are constantly at the pool, which is closely monitored, and nice and clean.
We live in the condos, and our only complaint is the lack of extra parking spaces, but our neighbors are nice, and the condos themselves are huge. It is very quiet here, and we don't hear our neighbors at all, and surprisingly they don't hear us. The maintenance staff and grounds people, as well as the office staff have all been very good to us, and they quickly respond to your needs. I would highly recommend these condos for a very nice, clean, yet affordable place to live. qmzu4EHcaGAPVCPw2Fai

Hmmm. Such a great review and yet such a low rating. Something smells fishy at Yorktowne! It also sounds like you let your kids run all over the place with no supervision! Not a smart thing to do these days! I know Yorktowne and a good many of the kids over there are trouble makers! They're into everything!

What about the resident who went on a rampage this past weekend trying to kill his girlfriend and her seven year old daughter by stabbing them and then running them over with his car...then setting fire to the apartment building and holding an eleven month old baby hostage until the police shot and killed him in the street???

This place isn't that great. Management doesn't do anything when trash blows into our yard from the slobs who live next door. Management even admits that our whole court and the one over has complained about these tenants, but nothing ever happens...Excuse me, I have to bang on the wall so they will turn the music down.

Yeah, more like Craptown Farms. We lived in the condos for a little over a year. I was never so glad as when we left. The condo is great as far as square footage, but that's about it. The kitchen has the OLDEST, CHEAPEST, most grotesque cabinets. In the winter you FREEZE downstairs, the gap between the foundation and the outer walls of the condo is big enough to literally almost fit a rolled baby receiving blanket. I know because we had them rolled up around almost the whole perimeter of the downstairs. In the summer the downstairs BAKES from sun streaming in from the sliding glass doors, or from the leaky doors themselves. The office's solution... turn on the ceiling fan. Regardless of how much money you waste in utilities just flying out the cracks in the floors and doors. The Mgt. there really is cranky, and seems to not want to be bothered with their jobs. Also, like another poster on another thread, they will NICKLE and DIME you to death when you move out. Stuff that was on the move in inspection sheet, they just mysteriously lose. TAKE PICS and SAVE THEM!!! Or better yet, don't move in here. There are plenty of private rentals that are a better value when utilities, and aggravation are factored in...
