Smell Like Weed All Damn Day!!!!

I hate this place so much and can t wait to move. It s not worth the money. No up grades and no improvements at all but yet rent continues to rise. My building is always nasty! I must be fair to the mansards and say that the cleaning lady comes often to clean and she does a great job, but in the building there are some nasty people The major problem I now have is that my building constantly smells like marijuana. Every damn day! It s so bad that is comes through my vents and makes my entire apartment smell like weed. And again this is EVERY DAMN DAY!!! Its super embarrassing to have company come to visit and the first thing the smell when they enter your building is weed. Its unfair too because I pay to much money to be embarrassed to have company. If you are looking to move here don t be fooled by the pools, tennis courts with no nets, the doggy park that has never been unlocked, or the staff that kisses your butt to get you to sign that lease. This place is rapidly turning into the projects. Its not a scary place to live at all but it still seem unsafe at times. I put it like this, when I first moved here the night of New Years Eve was peaceful. I heard not gun shots at all. This year it sound like we were in Afghanistan. Google about the man that was in the middle of the damn street shot a automatic rifle in the mansards New Years Eve night. This type of stuff just didn t happen in the past. But hey its only going to get worst. Get out if you can or simply don t move there.

The mansards used to be a beautiful place to live. NOW, there is nothing good I can say about this place. The laundry room stays dirty. The big washer haven't worked in over three months. They claim they screen new residents, but teenagers hang out in the laundry room, outside the buildings and the language that they use is just too bad to write about. I agree with the previous review. They want you to pay your rent on time, but when you place a work order it takes forever for someone to come fix the problem. NOT ONE MINUTE LATE, ONE SECOND LATE AND YOU $100. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Owners have been turned over twice since I moved in. The office is fabulous that's how they get you hooked line and sinker. NO I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO MOVE INTO THIS COMPLEX. AND THE LITTLE WHITE LADY HAVE THE WORST ATTITUDE I HAVE EVER CAME INTO CONTACT.

who ever you are, you are soooooooooooo right. i cant believe i still live here, but i hope i will be out soon. i hadnt thought about the landury room untill you mention it but your right. the two times i went in there it was only one dryer working. im lucky with the kids, we dont seem to have a problem with them but when i visit my friend i always see them sitting in the halls or playing in his building. lastly the little white lady is so funny, she has to be the most rude lady ever and the only reason i dont snap on her is because one she a woman, two a lil white woman, and three she look like she going on 90 so i just try to look over her. lol

You are not 1 minute late...you are actually 4 days and 1 minute late because they give you until the 5th at 5:00p.m. to pay. As far as children and teenagers at the property--yep they have them and its because they have 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and FAMILIES such as myself move in. Get a grip and take responsibility for your own actions...pay your rent before the 5th and you don't have to worry about the time. Oh yeah and the maintenance may not be done within the hour that you call unless it is an emergency becaue there are only so many guys and 1000s of apartments. The apartments are a nice size, the utilities are way more reasonable than IL( WHere I came from) and the staff is better too. If you think it is so bad at here then leave--you probably are the reason for the strict late fee policy anyways...always trying to blame someone else for your own faults and weaknesses...YOUR AN ADULT ACT LIKE ONE!

I hope you are never late on your rent. Because life does happen and when you are hit with $100 late fee, $200 adminastration fee and $161 attorney fee, then you'll know. It's not about being responsible it's about the greed of this ownership and it's total disreguard for it's tenants. Yes, we should get our rent in on time but life happens. You are going to wxperience this one day and then you will understand how we all feel.I've been there 6plus yrs. fell on a little hard times and they don't care. You will feel this one day.

You're telling me! The maintenance man went into my apartment 3 days before my lease was up AND 3 days before my SCHEDULED final walk through inspection and I come back to my apartment the next day to get my fish and to clean my apartment to move out and my lock was changed. When I finally got some answers from the front desk TWO HOURS LATER, I was able to get into my apartment to find that my vacuum cleaner and my fish were gone! The only two things I had left in there. Of course the maintenance man denied he ever saw it and since I could not prove that the items were in there they would not replace them! Dishonest thieves! First they trespass on my private property then they change my locks and they steal my stuff and what do I get back from them on my return deposit? $49.78!

Wow, the apartments in Illinois must be teensy. I keep seeing you guys describe these small apartments over here as big or "nice sized". Yes, they give people five days to pay but a $100 late fee is still absurd. I moved from a place that charged $1.00 per day for late fees. I should have never moved from there. *******And yes, families live in the Mansards but that is no excuse for children and teenagers to be loitering on the porch, in the hall or in the laundry room. Parents, control your kids!! They should be outside in the courtyard playing, in the clubhouse, at the pool, or in their own apartments not disturbing the rest of us inside the building.

THE MANSARDS ARE THE PROJECTS! I AM ALSO FROM NW INDIANA AND I REMEMBER WHEN CHILDREN, PETS, AND DRUG DEALERS WERE NOT ALLOWED. I DON'T CARE HOW MUCH MONEY YOU MAKE JUST AS LONG AS YOU HAVE A JOB OR IS GOING TO SCHOOL. WE NEED TO STOP THINKING BECAUSE WE MAKE MORE MONEY, WE ARE MORE SUPERIOR. WHEN WE DIE WE CAN'T TAKE NOTHING WITH US. WE HAVE TO ALSO ACCEPT THAT WE ARE LIVING WITH PEOPLE FROM THE SLUMS OF IL WITH A LACK OF EDUCATION AND A MANAGEMENT THAT IS JUST FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS TO JUST GET THE MONEY! WELCOME TO THE BUSINESS OF HUSTLING!

I have kids here The thing is they are SUPERVISED!!!.I had teenagers in my building dry hummping in the hallway...doing their homework on the stairs where you cant get through.when I complained the
y said to call the security they did nothing!!! Anyway where are the parents???I had HEART SUR

TH ALL THE FEES AFTER NOT WORKINg!!!WHen an emergency like that happens you have no time to find assistance .Thank GOD I had a friend who loaand me the money,Thats all this place is about!!! NO COMPASSION OR UNDERSTANDING.I am glad that one post has all the money she needs.Hopefully her good fortune will hold out and her health too!She might find herself up the crek if it doesnt!!
