I've only lived here for a few weeks, but I'm very observant of my surroundings. First off, I don't get why people are complaining about the children running around. Um, hello? Most complexes have kids in them who are going to run around and make noise. And I haven't seen any yet play in the streets/parking lots. They are always in the back. Second of all, for the person who said that the teenagers are running the place. What a crock. Yeah, they walk around and talk loud and play loud music. So what? As long as they do it in the daytime, it is their right. And I've never met a group of more respectful kids than them. They were obviously raised right.
Third, for the person who brought up a prostitution ring and drug deals. What? I don't see anything like that around and besides, even if there are deals going down, it's not like you can escape it. Drugs are EVERYWHERE. And I seriously want to know what the deal is with people complaining about there being so many Illinois license plates around. Does that change the hardworking person who drives the car? Didn't think so.

Now that I'm done tearing down the BS that came before my review, I will state my pros and cons. The apartments are beautifully maintained, but the hallways do have a sort of funky smell to them and they're kind of ugly. And yeah, I'm pretty annoyed with the fact that there is no security around, after being told there was. The grounds are beautifully kept, but they do need to fix the lights outside. There are some minor things wrong with my apartment (broken storm door, broken closet doors), but nothing I'm going to cry over. The staff is very helpful and I haven't had to call maintenance YET, but I probably should. My neighbors are courteous, hardworking people, who I hardly ever hear a peep out of late at night. There is ample parking out front, so that's not even a problem.

I think that's about it. If things change, I'll let you know since I'll be here for awhile.

you said that very well caligirl. i am from illinois myself and i still have illinois tags on my car and will not change them until they expire. after that, i will change my car over to indiana. i love living here at the mansards and i like indiana a lot. as for the people who complaine about illinois plates, i work hard every day and so does my hubby and we are friendly people and dont make a lot of noise. but you made some very good points. thanks for posting.
