My wife and i moved in Mansards 6 yuears ago.

We got nothing but good things to say about it.

The price is right and they got a lot for us here.

She works in the city and the train station is close.

My work is just down Cline.

Our apartment is big and our bills are small.

This place has been quiet and well kept.

We really liked that they added the guys at the gate in the evening.

This is a good place to call home.

This posting is so scripted it is crazy. Yes the mansards staff posted it. The guys at that gate do absolutely nothing but hold parties. You have to maneuver to get into the complex to avoid hitting all of their buddies that are out there hanging out with them. They do not check your ID when you enter (my fault, only if the Griffith police is close by then they will give you this look to show your card because they are being watched). And the train is not close by.

The South Shore East Chicago train station is only 10 minutes away from the complex. As for the security/gate situation, I wish it was more consistent. Sometimes they close up the auxiliary entry gates, sometimes they don't. I haven't seen ANYONE at the main gate entrance since we moved in two months ago.

I was told there was an electrical problem with the gate during the winter, but no matter--the gate is working now and when I get home there is always a guy at the gate checking I.D.s Also I think it is strange that you say the train is not close by...it is only 10 minutes away--I know I make the drive everyday and I am glad I am not right on the train tracks!
