The previous reviewer gave factual information given by the Griffith Police Department but left out a big chunk of other information that calls into question his/her skewed perspective. The Mansards is a community made of up over 4,000 people. It makes up 25% of Griffith's population. However, they only make up 12% of Griffith's 911 calls/police visits yearly (also from the Griffith Police Department). The stats mentioned in the previous review don't seem as shocking when you consider that the Mansards is a basically a small town.

So if you want the FULL story, call the GPD YOURSELF and get the REAL facts, not partial truths from someone who is most likely not a resident (but probably one of the many xenophobic Griffith residents inexplicably resentful of the Mansards). And this same person seems to be obsessed with the Mansards, as he/she has littered every positive review with negative comments.

P.S. The murder that happened in January was not some drive-by or gang shooting. A young man (not a resident of the Mansards) was caught stealing a radio from a resident's car and was shot dead by said resident.

By the way as defined in Websters dictionary. xenophobic:one unduly fearful of what is foreign and especially of people of foreign origin. I did not realize that there were a lot of foreigners living there.I found most people to be A.F.R.O-Americans nothing foreign about that, unless there is something we don't know.Sorry about the periods in the above but there seems to be some filter that prohibits using the actual word in this review forum why I have know idea.It certainly is not derogatory in any way. for some reason

"P.S. The murder that happened in January was not some drive-by or gang shooting. A young man (not a resident of the Mansards) was caught stealing a radio from a resident's car and was shot dead by said resident. " Regardless. It's a murder. How does the fact it wasn't gang related make it any better? You've got to be kidding. By the way, do your homework. Those stats ARE from the Griffith police.

Uhh...I said they were from the Griffith Police Department (reading comprehension, it's your friend). I didn't disagree with the stats, just the narrow, dishonest light in which they were cast. I DID my homework, called the GPD and got the same stats you did (assuming you're the same person). Again, I just broadened your narrow and dishonest perspective on those statistics with the COMPLETE facts that I received from the GPD. There is a big difference between a gang related shooting and a private gun owner defending his property (albeit in an unlawful way). The Mansards is not the violent, crime-ridden complex that you tried to make it out to be. By the way, you didn't respond to my assertion that you are not a resident of the complex. Are you? I doubt it.

This is good stuff; healthy debating is the fundamental of American democracy. From an outside view I say crime is crime. Although the right to bare arms and defend your property is a part of our democracy, I take very serious. Another thing is that you do not need to be a resident of the complex to be effected by it. As a member and or resident of any community the effects of any one-area with-in that community can and will effect you as well. I find it hard to believe anyone would do as much research on something that did not affect him or her. Remember the old saying about the three most important things in home value ??? 1.location, 2.location, 3.location???.

well i recently moved to the mansards about six months ago. i heard a lot of negative comments and positive.i took my chances. even though its cheap to stay here i so far have no complaints.most people here are working people or single parents raising thier children. i work nights so in the morning time the parking lot is close to empty. meaning most people here are working. havent seen any **gang bangers** or anything out of the ordinary. no violence, acoholics, hood rats, nothing.i actually get peace when i come home. i love it. look viewers, any time your in a small complex, people are normally to have a negative opinion, even if they have never lived here.word of mouth means everything. one wrong QUOTE and theres a bad impression forever. to any one thinking of moving here, its really a nice place despite of the negative feed back it might carry. p.s im not A.F.R.O AMERICAN EITHER.

who ever you are you work at the mansards,, lol thats the only way you would be protecting them so much. Im sorry but this place is a joke. If you are honest you know like I do that this place dose not do half of the things they have in the mansards ads. I dont know how many calls the police gets but if thats true stats the mansards are doing a good job. I dont feel it is dangerous out here at all, but I do feel there are alot of improvements that need to be made starting with the front office. They are alot of heartless people working for the mansards, not all but its alot of them. Almost every one in that front office has a bad attude. of all of them the lil white lady is the worst. she has very very poor customer service skills. but again Im sure you work with her. lol but you be safe and God Bless and watch out for the matinance guys I had one walk in my crib with a phony work order. I hate to feel this way but I believe his plans were to steal something. he lucky he walked in on my wife and not me because I would have treated him as a robber and shot his ass,,, hahahahahaha
