Not a good place to live
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 2/1/2003
Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2003
I lived at River Park Apartments for 1 year. Before I had moved there, I was told not to and I should have listened. It's not a good area or environment to raise children. Drugs, dealers, and addicts run rapid. The number of apartment burglaries are very high. Hammond Police Department can verify that for you. They had 178 burglaries last year alone. The reason I moved is because my apartment was burglarized 3 times. The staff is rude and unhelpful. They are slow to fix anything and quick to evict you if you don't pay rent. I currently have a lawsuit pending against them for entering my apartment and removing personal property without my permission and without an eviction. What ever you do, do not let the collection manager in your apartment. There is only one so you'll know who I'm talking about. He's not right. Last year I don't remember exactly, but it was on the news, the state had to shut down 3 buildings because of mold and asbestos. There are a lot of underhanded things going on there (like buildings "mysteriously" catching fire) and I am glad I got out of there before the Feds shut them down. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l
