DO NOT RENT FROM HAMPTON IN HIGHLAND

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2002
My husband and I lived in the Hampton in Highland Apartments last year. From the moment we signed the lease and turned over our deposit and rent money, we were treated like second class citizens. I can think of many occasions on which the personnel in the office were rude when we wanted to do something as simple as buy laundry tokens or ask a question. Upon moving out, we had our family come and help us clean and paint the apartment. Before turning in our keys, we requested a walkthrough be done with us present. They refused. A month later, we recieved a bill for $555 in the mail for several different things, one including a stain that was there when we moved in, and $30 to clean an oven that was left cleaner than when we moved in. It is unfortunate that we were trusting enough to not take pictures to prove that we worked so hard cleaning. In my opinion, Hampton In Highland Apartments is a dishonest organization, and would advise anyone looking for an apartment to not even consider living there.
