We applied in November to move in at the end of February. We were accepted and came back the same day to pay the deposit. For 2 1/2 months I called & left messages (on VM and with people) that were not returned about why we didn't yet have an address, and why they hadn't deposited our check. 1 week before we moved in, we went there and found out they didn't have an apartment waiting for us. After a while as we wait4ed, the manager found that someone had stapled our check to our app and filed it, so they didn't show in the computer that we'd paid the deposit at all. Fortunately, there was one becoming vacant that weekend, so the day we moved in, they had just finished painting. When we moved in nothing worked. The hot water wasn't even hooked up to the hall bathroom, and the water heater was so old it had corroded through the pipes and leaked into the utility closet. For the first 4 days we lived here, we had no hot water, and even tho I had been promised a new WH, they ended up "cleaning" it and putting in new pipes. I kept smelling gas, but maint had been out and told me I was NOT, until the gas company came out and dsaid, "Yep, there's a leak" and turned off the gas. Maintenance tore up the walls and ceilings from where the gas line enters the apartment (in the NURSERY) to the heater and replaced the whole gas line because they couldn't find the leak. Another 4 days without hot water or heat, and this time with a 2-month-old baby. When we came back, they had not finished fixing the drywall and took 4 weeks for it to be all done, so 4 weeks before we could put the nursery back together. it ended up the furnace was leaking gas (like I had been saying all along) and they turned the gas off to it and told me they would order me a new one. In May. In September, they came and "cleaned" it, said I wasn't getting a new one. Every cabinet has water damage and was full of such nasty residue when we moved in and the bottoms are so warped that I wouldn't put anything in them. The countertops in the kitchen are PAINTED. Every time I call the office, I talk to a different person, so nothing ever gets taken care of, because no one knows where someone else left off. When we moved in I started calling about our bedroom window leaking when it rains and the (wooden) windowsill inside rotting away. I was told several times they couldn't do anything about it unless it was raining and wouldn't be replacing the windowsill until we move (by the office). Then The bracket that holds our blinds up broke, and I had maint out. He measured the window and said he would be out in 2 days to put up new blinds and look at the other problems with that window. IN OUR BEDROOM! NO BLINDS! After a week I started calling every day to find out when we would at least get blinds up in our bedroom, and finally, after 3 1/2 weeks, I had to e-mail the management company (at that time AIMCO), who e-mailed the property manager, who got right on it. It was more than a week yet before I would have blinds. On new Years Eve our neighbors stood in the courtyard right outside our window and shot off their guns into the air for an hour and a half. The cops have been here at least once a week. The day we moved in MCSD pulled 4 people out of the building behind us, arrested them, and had them sitting on the walkway for the entire afternoon waiting for the paddy wagon. At the end, they sent us a letter saying our lease was coming up and either re-sign (as if) or be out by the end of February. we found another place and went in to tell them, and found out that on our lease the end date was listed as March 31. A 13 month lease' have you ever heard of that' I gave her a copy of the letter from the office, and eventually we were given clear to get out at the end of February, but even that took forever because the property had been sold while we lived here and it was then under a different management company and no one would take ownership of the problem, though it was obviously a typo! I can't WAIT to be the hell out of here!! STAY AWAY!

you must have lived on the brown side of the complex. that was the side they usually put certain people, and you know who. jennifer is all about image, she moved the handicap residents to the brown side because she didn't want future residents too see them, or other disable people to move in. the only time you see the office people doing any work is when corporate comes in, otherwise jennifer hides in her office when a resident comes in with problems, the office personnel has their boyfriends, girlfriends, children in the office all day long. jennifer is too busy trying draw male attention out there, trying to be black! they have student dicounts, but they pick and choose who to give it to. i told everyone do not move in there, the only side they care is the green side. you'll notice the difference where drive thru there, they are discriminating against the brown side.
