Arbor Green. I'm currently a resident and have lived here since September of 2008. So here's the break down....

Since I have lived here I have been blessed with nice neighbors. We wave to each other say hello, and even help carry groceries for each other. The maintenance men are cordial, friendly and helpful. Any times I've had a problem they have taken care of it within two days. The office staff has been very nice to me, we recently got a new manager so we'll see how that goes but so far it has been pleasant. It stays relatively quite here. Weekends are an obvious exception, (kids at the pool, kids out of school, people enjoying their days off), but it never gets out of control. The property is well maintained, grass mowed, mulch kept up, good number of trees. And as a woman living alone, I get an overall save vibe. The laundry facility is well maintained. It costs about $2.75 for a load (wash & dry) and my things have never been messed with. A nice lake is situated on the north side of the property and if you get lucky enough to grab one of those units it's very pretty & full of life. Plenty of parking available. I don't ever use my dishwasher, No microwave provided in the 1 bedroom, stove works fine. Overall appliances are good.

On the flip side, it's a complex that houses 208 units. Of course you're going to have the occasional a-holes in a community this large. If you re-sign your lease, rent for a 1 bedroom was just bumped from $519 to $539 (may of '09). They have a tennis court (that hasn't been painted since the mid '90's), It is June & the net isn't even up. People seem to use it as a dog park or play area for children. There are a lot of children & families in the complex, kids run around & scream and the parents seem to not care too much so it can get loud and annoying during summer. Few pot holes (like 10) that need to be fixed but I have yet to complain about them. During winter, sidewalks were plowed relatively quickly but the parking lot was a different story. Kind of a mess. And there is this ANNOYING smoke detector that goes off on the other side of the property any time this one building does their laundry.

As for demographics, few Latino and Asian families, and a balanced mix of Caucasian and ------- American individuals and families.

I'm a single women, recent college grad so take my opinions for what they are worth. I know when I first moved in, I tried to find unbiased opinions online and they are hard to find. Overall, I'm enjoying living here. Quick access to 465 (about 5 minute drive) Broad Ripples about 10 minutes, Castleton's 15 minutes. Good luck on you're apartment search, I hope this helped. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l

I'm hopeful about the new staff. Not to be petty, but I just took a walk around the complex and counted 19 pot holes. My criteria was at least a foot in diameter & 2 inches (or greater) deep. And you have to dodge them. But you're right about how friendly everyone is.
