I love the location, price and the Washington township school system....but that is all that Ashton Brook has to offer. After the three years, it's time to move on. I have had a constant problem with insects. Ants crawling in the pantry, I have had to discard several bags of food. My child is asking daily to move out. Several of my neighbors have has burglaries in their apartments and vehicles. I no longer feel safe. Don't move here. Pay a little more for safety, your family is worth it.

Ladybugs is the problem I have. There are MANY problems with vehicles, possibly due to the high amount of apartment communities and walking distance to a school. Towed cars, broken windows, vandalism, and theft of temporary plates... However burgerlies in apartment units I haven't heard of.

RESPONSE FROM ASHTON BROOK MANAGEMENT - Thank you for your review of Ashton Brook Apartments. As the manager of this community, I would like you to know that it is my goal and number one priority to provide our residents with a comfortable place to call home. When we are inhibited from meeting this goal because of the actions of others, it causes frustration. I am sorry to hear that you are unsatisfied with the crime prevention efforts at our community. I can assure you that every member of our team works hard to make our community an undesirable target for criminals. Our efforts include a strict criminal background screening for all applicants over the age of 18. In addition routine light checks of the community exteriors are completed weekly, active participation in a North side apartment manager's crime-prevention council and we have also been trying to set up a Crime Watch within the Ashton Brook Community, but due to low attendance we have not been able to be acknowledged by IMPD as an active Watch Group. I would like to discuss these and other efforts with you and listen to your suggestions for how we can better serve you. Additionally, I want to be sure that you are aware of our community's strict no-solicitation policy and encourage you to contact local law enforcement if you witness any violation of this policy. In regards to the ants, we offer complimentary extermination services to all of our community members, please contact the Rental Office if you are having a pest issue and we will make sure that it is taken care of as quickly and with as little inconvenience to you as possible. Once again, I am deeply disappointed by the experience you had at our community, and I hope this review does not create a negative impression of our community or the Gene B. Glick properties. Our mission to serve our residents is our highest priority, and I am confident that we are an excellent choice for renters in Indianapolis. Regan Brown, Property Manager

I moved here, got sold a bill of goods sugar coated by the bubbly manager. Poorly trained staff, rude staff, poorly maintained apartments, common areas, laundry facilities. I have found liquor bottles under my car from residents drinking in the woods behind my apartment. The neighbor upstairs continually somke dope and you can smell it in the hallway. My vehicle has been tampered with. It is a "no soliciting" community yet they do nothing to stop the problem. Management sent around a newsletter telling people to leave lights on and pick up newspaper and mail so it would not look like you were not home. Then management stuffs things in you door. The management does everything in its power to avoid fixing problems, the give great lip service but thats all it is, lip service. Any property manager that figures she needs to defend herself on this site for the terrible job she is doing, her staff is doing under her direction has to be completely out of control. If I were Glick I'd be bringing some new people in here fast. Glick used to be a trusted name in rental circles. No they are nothing but SLUM LORDS! There are better maintained, safer communities in the area with management that does realize the tenants are footing the bill, not the rude, undereducated, undertrained staff in charge. Look elsewhere for a better rental experience, you won't find it in a Glick Community (loosely used)

I love my apartment I have been here for over 5yrs and adore the location.. i am w/i seconds of the monon and ride my bike on it daily....the grounds are gorgeous and are ALWAYS maintained....I have had problems fixed in less than an hour sometimes before I hung up the phone they were at my apt to fix the issue...I have been broken into one time..but the staff was soo helpful with securing me a new apt. that felt like they cared... The staff is warm and friendly and ALWAYS smiling... the only thing I would change is maybe an adult swim time during the summer...just so that we can enjoy the pool without all the kids yelling and screaming and splashing...but if that's the only problem I have... I'd say... I love my place and have no plans to move out.... if you like convenience and friendly staff..you will LOVE ashton Brooke....again I've been here actually I thought it was 5 but its actually 8yrs...
