Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2008
We lived in our Autumn Chase apartment for two years and recently moved into a home.
Overall, our stay at Autumn Chase was very satisfactory. The office staff was always very friendly... even when the management changed.
When we had a problem, it was addressed quickly. Water leaked in through our master bedroom window when it rained really hard. It took a contractor a few trips to figure things out, but ultimately the problem was resolved.
Parking was also a major issue in front of our building. They added more parking spaces. They also offered carports and garages at a discount to help combat the issue as well.
We used the pool a few times. Never got to the tennis courts though.
One of our cars was broken into and had a radio stolen from it. Ours wasn't the only one though... management didn't really have a way of preventing it other than asking IMPD for increasing patrols.
Looking back, it doesn't seem that they took our apartment's design into account when designing the A/C and heating system. Our master bedroom had three external walls, but the rest of the apartment only had 1 external wall in each room. As a result, it was usually 10-15 degrees cooler than the rest of the apartment. During the second year, I closed off all the other vents in the apartment and it kept it within 2-3 degrees.
Upon move out, we left the apartment as we had found it - clean and undamaged - we got our entire security and pet deposits back.
I loved living on the lake. There are two ducks that hang around year-round and never are apart. Geese can be a bit of a problem, but they use repellant when they get too far out of control.
