I recently moved into the apartments. I wish I would have known what I was getting into. My boyfriend and I have had several problems with the staff, as well as our neighbors around us. The staff does not care about the apartments nor do they care about the residents. Many requests and complaints have been either ignored or simply rigged to work better for a short time, just to break again. If I could leave without all the penalties, I would in a heartbeat. There is absolutely not enough parking for each building. There have been many nights Ive had to double park or park buildings away from my apartment. There is a severe raccoon problem. They hang out by the dumpsters. One of my biggest complaints is we called in to the office and told them there was a snake outside our apartment that we would stay by it until someone could come and kill it . . . it took them 10 MINUTES for them to show up by this time the snake had slithered away to who knows where. . . Keep in mind I have a small Puppy who almost got BIT by this snake...there is no caring from the staff.

Oh, you are lucky honey...the racoons were getting into my apartment the year I lived there. They decided I could not renewel my lease (like I wanted too?) because I called the board of health on them over the raccoon ordeal. I had a flea outbreak from it, and had to call 911 to help me get the damn thing out one night. Their ideal of getting rid of them...letting the maintance guy that had the IQ of a golf ball catching them. I was the one that finally got them to get new dumpsters, but if the lids aren't closed you are back to the same problem. You ought to hear a dozen of them in a dumpster all night fighting, hissing and screaming...under your bedroom window! But I had the nerver to complain so we will kick her out. They are FAR from intelligent employees at that office..trust me. There was also a meth lab being ran in the building next to me....you don't want me to start on that. Explosion and everything. Leave as soon as you can.

Hey stupid, Are snakes native to our country? That would be yes. What do you expect the apartment community to do may I ask? They were here long before you were and it's hard to treat for snakes outside of your apartment. When you have a snake inside, which would be a valid complaint, why don't you waste everyone's time -------. If you are so unhapy why don't you quit your bitching, pay the fees and get the hell out of here. I have lived here for a couple of years and besides the occassional issues you have with an older apartment, this has been a great place to live.

Indiana state law states that apartment property managers must keep all grounds safe for residents at all times! If the snake had bite her after she reported the issue, then she legally could sue the property management for monetary damages. It's the property management's main job to keep the grounds safe!

You can not monitor snakes when the property is backed up to a wooded area & by the White River. You need to rethink that one. If you were scared of snakes and racoons, why rent at a community that is surrounded by mature landscaping and a river? You can not sue a management company for snakes when that can not be controlled no matter where you go. Go to a brand new property for about $150 more per month and yeah you won't have any nature problems. You have a whole lot less space for more money. Good luck!!

I work at a different complex on some woods and the staff is never " in CHARGE" of wild life. If you have problems call animal control. How can anyone expect a staff to monitor wild life is beyond me. " hey a bird crapped on my car so I will sue the complex" what a joke!

It is understandable that the staff/apartment managers can not be expected to perform miracles. However, there is some expectation of "property management" when you rent. If you own your own home, it is your job to handle pestilence problems, call animal control, etc. When you rent in a complex, you call the property managers and they handle it from there. As for response time - we can't expect people to materialize instantly. 10 minutes sounds good to me. If raccoons are a large problem, YES - the property managers are responsible for handling it. I've lived in various places next to woods and lakes. They even had to take steps to control the spiders. May I also say that - after reading the comment by "pissedoffbystupidpeople", I'm very wary of moving in here. There are ways to communicate your opinions without cursing and calling names. Who's the stupid one? I fear that person could be one of my neighbors and I can't imagine that being a pleasant experience.

The do have pest control!!! So they are taking the precautions. They also have people who come out for pest control. Every property does!
