The apartment complex is a pleasant place to live. I have been at Avery for 2 years now, and I have no major complaints. It is a nice community, and the staff is willing to help whenever needed. My apartment is a nice size. There is plenty of room to do what I want. Overall, I like this apartment building.

I am excited to move here. My boyfriend lived here for a year (he's moving now) and he's really liked it. He hates to leave! I'm looking forward to moving in this fall- I love that the units are getting new carpet, new lighting fixtures, and new tile on the floors. Woot Woot new management! :-)

MY DAUGHTER MOVED INTO ONE OF THESE JULY 25 2009. AFTER UNLOADING EVERYTHING WE NOTICED THE STOOL WAS FULL OF URINE, THE RAILING TO THE STAIRS HAD BEEN RIPPED OUT AND THE PIECES RENAILED WITH LARGE 8 PENNY NAILS, THE SCREEN DOOR HAD BEEN RIPPED TOTALLY OUT. WE THEN FOUND THE MICROWAVE DIDN'T WORK AT ALL. THE AIR CONDITIONER DIDN'T WORK AT ALL. WHEN U TURNED ON THE GARBAGE DISPOSAL U GOT A GRINDING NOISE AND SCREWS FLEW OUT. WHEN U TURNED ON THE STOVE SPARKS AND SMOKE FLEW EVERYWHERE AND IT BLEW ALL THE FUSES. THE WASHING MACHINE DOESN'T WORK. THE DISHWASHER BOTTOM WAS FULL OF STAGNANT WATER AND WATER STANDS EACH TIME U USE IT. THE LIGHT SWITCH TO THE LIVING AREA COMES OFF IN YOUR HAND. THIS IS THE 29TH AND SO FAR THE ONLY THING FIXED IS THE AC. MANAGEMENT HAS BEEN POLITE BUT GIVE NO IDEA WHEN THEY'LL FIX ANYTHING ELSE. MY NEXT CALL GOESTO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT TO REPORT THE STOVE AS A FIRE HAZARD AND THEN THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.

I wouldn't say I'm impressed. When I first moved in they didn't have my apartment ready even though I had a call from them a week before my move-in date confirming I would come. When I went in the morning to sign my lease, the lady told me to hold on and left for a minute. When she came back she said that maintenance was doing my place, "Is that going to be a problem?" I said yes it is because I'm moving in today. I understand things get crazy when management changes but it was apparent to me that they were more focused on the new fitness center than new tenants. I won't go into much else regarding the dirty bathroom and kitchen, or other various disappointments because they fixed them over time. It just seems sad that a place can't be cleaned for someone new. Hopefully when they finish with their other features they want to offer they'll be more tenant-ready. Meanwhile...I'm fine in my apartment, but I won't be living here after this lease. It's only "ok".
