My friends and I rented a townhouse from Berkley for 14 months and hated it. the flooring around the upstairs toliet was sinking and soft when you stepped near it. the vinyl was coming peeling around the tub and they fixed it with unpainted, untreated wood trimming. the promised a painting crew (no really they said a crew) would do a little ouch up on the trimming.

we had trouble with the phone lines because the idiot painting crew decided to paint over the jacks. And speaking of paint, I've found that after 10 or fifteen layers of low grade paint, the surface begins to bubble up like and crack.

Management decided it was to much to let us know when our neighbors had complaints, and they chose to let the complaints pile up before sending us a noise violation. We're only allowed three and we recieved two. The last nine months we tippy-toed through the apartment.

Below the toliet there was evidence of water damage running down the wall. there was broken glass all around. We never could convince them to give us a screen for our front window and when we opened it bugs would fly in. Nearly every night police made runs into the neighborhood. My ex-girlfriend had her stereo stolen. which in hindsight is quite alright with me because she cheated on me and I hope they do it to her again.

I hated berkley please don't move there
