I agree with all the BAD reviews on this community! They let anyone and everyone live here!!! I saw someone's comments about all the Mexican's. Well, I am a WHITE AMERICAN and my husband is A legal immigrant from MEXICO and OMG he couldn't even stand all the "RUDE" Mexican's living in the complex. He could not believe the number of them in one residence either!
We also were ripped out of our deposit! We lived there 1 year and were so ready to leave! Our place was spotless and when we moved out I made sure to even shampoo the carpet even though it did not need it!!! WHen I get a bill for $300 saying that my deposit did not cover the carpet damages!! WHAT''''''
There were families in our building that let their children run wild. They would play in the halls at all hours and were very noisy. Blocking the stairways! I made complaints many times with no change!! I wrote a strongly worded letter to them upon moving out about the conditions and the residents they allow there and something tells me this letter is what caused me the $300 invoice! I recommend this community to NOBODY! Infact when I have a friend looking for a place I tell them to STEER CLEAR OF BERKLEY COMMOS!!!!!!!!!!

Previously I had posted a bad review of BC--they are horrible apartments, but I'd like to touch on the deposit issue. I have lived in the community twice and always gotten my full deposit back--regardless of the condition (I've always left paint on the walls and don't clean the carpets). It is very likely that based on the way in which you leave the community (i.e., amicably versus with a "strongly worded letter") does have a lot to do with deposit returns. Therefore, my advice: keep your comments to yourself (or here on apartmentratings.com). BC and their management (Klingbell, or something like that) are fully aware of what goes on, but they choose to or cannot do anything about it.
