I read the complaints and few actually describe what I dealt with living there. I was there for 2 years and I LOVED it. The neighbors who move in, sure they can be a$$es, but you get that anywhere. If they're noisy or let their kids run rampant, tell the management, don't whine and do nothing. In other complexes, if the children were in the lot or trashing the place or causing trouble, I told the management and usually after the 3rd time, they evict them. If they don't evict them, go to the police with your complaints.
Lynn was always great to work with and an old friend of mine Josie works there now and I KNOW that she's great to work with.
Most of all, I LOVED my kitchen. LOVED. I haven't found a kitchen like that, ever, and that's the #1 thing I look for when moving.
If you have trouble with neighbors or crime, get active and start a community group or ask the police in your neighborhood how you can get involved. They EXPECT you to do your part, not rely on them to clean up the mess. If you're proactive they can avoid being REactive. Complaining and doing nothing about it makes you just as responsible for the activity that goes on. If there are bugs, ask for treatment in your apartment. If something breaks, don't be an a$$ and be rude to the maintenance, they can only do so much. (I've had sink floods in my apartments but was NEVER rude when they came to help me clean it up and fix the drains.) If you're late with your rent payment, don't complain they are evicting you if you didn't tell them, that's YOUR fault. The gas bill, ours was only $6 a month. If you have to complain about $6, there's a problem.
Overall, I still suggest this apartment complex to people and make sure to consider the source and think about the complaints when deciding on an apartment.
