It's 2008 and we live here again.
The Apartment - All new carpet because former resident had a leaky pet. We chose to move into the newer section instead of the court area where my husband rented last time and there is a world of difference! We like the location on a more private section and the kitchen has so many cabinets and the space is phenominal! We have 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. The maintenance requests were fixed the second day we lived here. He actually came the first day but we were napping so he left a note and returned day 2. Very timely!
The manager and staff - The manager is nice and does speak english. The gals in the office have all been super nice to us and made sure we got the new carpet and our needs were met. Were still waiting for an accept wall to be painted that was suposed to be done but they say the paint is on back order. Other than some before the move issues that staff needs to work on, they were great.
Before the move - I forgot to add this so I am editing. I agree with some that you really must insist on seeing your actual apartment before the move. This apartment sat empty about a month and there was no reason for it to not be ready for us... but it wasn't. Had we not insisited on seeing it a week in advance and then again 2 days in advance, it probably would have still had old carpet. This is an area they really need to improve on.
The bad - right now the only bad is that there is still a bit of a smell in here from either previous smokers or maybe from a water heater leak before we moved in. Not sure what it is.
Overall we love it a lot and plan to stay a long time.

My husband lived here once before and there was a fire and he moved. He liked them well enough to return. For the price and space, it is a good deal. If I ever need to watch my pennies, I would come back, but I have to agree it is a bit embarrasing and we never entertained because the halls wearen't cleaned enough and our laundry area by our door was the same. We live in a one bedroom on the court area which has no basement, and has apartments on the second level above us. These court apartments have central air and heat. Ours works great and can freeze you out. We have had a few manitenance issues like everyone, but staff responded in a timely manner. Rent is very cheap here, but there are no extra frills. We love the access to shopping and downtown as well as easy traffic when pulling in or out. We love the spacious rooms in the court apartments except for small kitchens and lack of cabinet space. Breaking our lease will cost us $800 appx. The Staff has been efficient and kind. We mostly dealt with Rob. The neighbors are ok. We are one of 3 white families in our bldg of 8 apartments. While we do notice that our Latino (is that right) neighbors do tend to have a lot of company and sunday gatherings, and tend flow through the hall a bit back and forth between apartments, we enjoy their happiness and kindness. Who can complain about that' No one ever broke into our car or home, or caused trouble around us here so it has been a safe community.

To the person who responded to my last review about "Little Mexico", thank you. I appreciate it. I am actually living in Fishers now, with a "High Society Class". See what you don't understand is that I don't want to live in a neighborhood where I don't feel like I can go outside past 9 o'clock and feel like I am gonna get shot by the little "black" and "hispanic" people that live there. You obviously need to get it in your thick skull that too many people on here have rated this apartment complex to be ----. Please take you little smart a** comments somewhere else. Oh and by the way there definitely are some nice apartments on the Southside you idiot. The Latitudes, for instance is like 1,000 times safer than that little hood you call Brookwood.
Have fun living in your low class home! :D

Hi, I understand that when someone is happy about a place it makes it look suspicious. But I used my user name to post. I am really a resident. I do hear you that any time rent is cheaper there's more crime potential. And we think there is some drug activity down the street. But I could own a home and have that too. I live in Indy and there are gonna be a few bad guys around. I'm tired of paying high rent. I want to put my money into my belongings and my hobbies instead of the landlord's pocket. I'm happy with the trade off and if crime comes my way I will handle it the way any responsible citizen does. But you can know that this is one neighbor here who isn't a thug so come on over and rent the apartment adjacent to me. LOL Oh ps, The southside rules. Your crime is on the west and downtown. Southside is like living in Green Acres... laid back and lighter.

You idiot i know this Apt complex SUCKS what i was trying to say was that your so stupid!!! How can you go rent at a place that looks like this and expect what? in return!! Just by driving by you can tell that this place is not for MOST PEOPLE! If you've moved GREAT now your with HIGH SOCIETY. I was being sarcastic with those words. HA HA HA !!!! Who said there wasn't nice apts on the Southside!!!! There a little of everything. !!!!THATS WHY I SAID YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!! your the Stupid one who choose BROOKWOOD. IF the Latitudes are so nice why didn't you move there in the first place???? See you know what's nice and what's not but for whatever reason you fell for BROOKWOOD. Have a nice day!!!
