This old apartment building has a lot of funky style. Plenty of great old woodwork and detailing. Hardwood floors everywhere. The larger apartments all have eccentric layouts. Besides the two regular bedrooms in my unit, there is an small "Maid's Room" off the kitchen with a half-bath that makes a great office. Windows were modernized a few years back and heat bills are reasonable. There are some downsides. Most rooms lack an adequate number of electrical outlets for a modern "wired" lifestyle. The plumbing is LOUD. Biggest surprise, despite the original plaster walls, sounds travel from room to room and apartment to apartment like there was only the cheapest drywall separating you from your house mates and neighbors. Closest space is at a minimum. If you would have liked living in the Roaring Twenties, this is the building for you.

I agree--a lot of character but parking is BAD. Also, walls and floors are VERY thin--you can hear everything--especially dogs running around & barking. The grounds are awful too--they allow people to store items like broken down grills, ugly lawn chairs, and indoor furniture outside on the porches and grounds. Management doesn't do anything about it either. She promises a lot but does nothing. Looks pretty bad. I don't recommend this place.
