Years at this apartment:

I lived in Riverbend for a year. WHen I first moved in, I put my new dishes in the dishwasher, pulled up the lid, and the whole appliance came OUT OF THE WALL and broke everything. After it also flooded my entire kitchen twice and maintenance had come 5 times, I finally was given a new washer. Something was always breaking or not working properly. When the deadbolt to my front door was broken, It took them 3 days to fix it, so I went that long with NO LOCK ON MY DOOR. As you have probably already read, there is a rediculous amount if crime happening. At least every other week it seemed I was coming home from work to find a letter about some apartment that had been robbed or a car stolen or whatever. Granted the management at least took the time to inform us, it got to the point where I didnt even WANT the letters anymore. I stopped reading them! All they did was scare me, and give me obvious tips I already followed, like "be aware of your surroundings" and "lock your doors". They never said they were actually going to DO anything about it, and they never would. I talked to so many people robbed or broken in to, and my neighbor's boyfriend had his car busted into and stolen from RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER WINDOW. The complex is much too large to not have a security officer to work JUST in the complex, to get the problems under control. I also had a neighbor who would always leave her trash ourside of her door for DAYS, to the point if disgustingness where I would have to hold my breath as I ran from my 2nd floor apartment down and out the door is smelled so bad. I told the office repeatedly and even took pictures, but they just told me there was nothing they could do unless they actually saw the trash there for themselves. Most of the grounds were fairly well kept, and there are nice ares to have picnics and grill out. The front entrance is always beautiful and well-kept.The dumpsters are too small and always fill up halfway through the week. The fitness center is nice, and pretty large for an apartment complex, but it is usually 100 degrees in there and only half of the treadmills and TVs work at any given time. The leasing agents themselves are always extremely friendly and helpful, and made the renting process itself very pleasant. My apartment was also fairly nice for an older unit, the appliances were new, and the rooms are much larger than newer apartment complexes. I just think there is an overall management problem with the size of the complex, maintenance sucks, and they have serious issues with safety, which I know is the main reason people no longer want to move there. I know it is under new management now, so I hope some of these issues have been resolved! If not, please fix them!!! aLKeoXpj3s4OSgrp1trb
