If you are considering moving to Riverbend just remember all these reviews you are reading. There have been MULTIPLE times I've called maintenance and they never come. For instance, our sink/dishwasher was emptying into the cabinet below the sink and it was causing the bottom of the cabinet rotten out and there were actual mushrooms growing out from under the sink. I called for an entire week before someone could actually get back to me. Not to mention I was 4 months pregnant and the last thing I should be breathing in is mold and living in a place that was unsanitary. They finally took out the cabinet and replaced it after I had my lawyer call and demand for them to pay for a hotel and threaten a law suit. Nothing works the way it is suppose to, the dishwasher doesn't rinse the dishes off, our pilot light has gone out numerous amounts of times, the closet fixtures (shelving/rack) falls out of the wall, and the closet doors never worked. We actually ended up removing them and putting up curtains.
The last straw is that with this snow storm they have yet to plow our road. Some of the roads in the complex have been plowed but ours is not one of them. It is frustrating because I pay the same amount of rent as other roads but yet I am the one who is fishing my car out without any help.
Not to mention the crime rate is terrible in this complex, to the point where we had to have a "crime stoppers" meeting in the club house. Pretty sad when your car is broken into and a police officer parks 3 spaces down from you.
If I were you please take in consideration all these reviews. I know if I had to do over again I would not move here. Good luck!

It's hilarious (and also not hilarious) to read your post because I have had most of the same exact problems (and then some)! I have a major mold problem with my town home and my chimney is caving in and being held up by boards of wood. Worst thing of all is I am paying $1071/month to live in this dump!
I have lost so much of my time dealing with their maintenance and other staff. They have lied to my face (told me I would get a $200 gift certificate to Melting Pot and never got one) and have even hung up the phone on me ever since I let them know I will be gladly moving out when my lease is up. River Bend is mismanaged and too big for their own good. They have to make their own office look very snazzy because the rest of this community is in the pits... I guess they are too greedy to put the money back in towards their customers.
The motto should be: "Care about your blood pressure, health, and safety? Then DON'T LIVE AT CORE RIVERBEND APARTMENTS!"
