I have lived at Riverbend for 3.5 years. I never had a problem with management until --------- took over. She has taken it upon herself to charge renters for replacement of their already old blinds. I was sent a letter notifying me of the poor condition of my blinds and that I would be charged $25 for replacement. I could not belive this because there was nothing wrong with my blinds. I called --- and she said that it must have been a mistake and she would re-evaluate the blinds and let me know. She never got back with me. A month later I recieved a bill in the mail for $25. No blinds were replaced. I called --- and asked why I was charged. She replied because my blinds were replaced. She was rude and unprofessional in resolving this issue.

A few weeks later I came home to water leaking through my celing for the 5th time. I called maintenence, they said they would be out right away. I left to run some errands. When I returned water was still coming out of the celing and nobody had been there to fix the problem. I called again, maintenence came and said they fixed the leak and there was nothing more they could do that night. (understandable) They promised to replace my smoke alarm and clean the wet carpet the next day. This was not done. This process continued for two weeks - Angry phone calls and false promises made by unprofessional leasing agents and managers. Finally I was fed up and had to threaten to call the fire marshall about the smoke alarm. Magically someone showed up 5 minutes later to fix the problem.

The maintenence guys are very professional and do the best they can. They unfortunatly have to deal with unhappy renters caused by terrible management.

The first year I lived here I bought a new motorcycle and kept it on my porch. I was told I couldn't and had to move it for fire safety reasons, I could understand this. I moved it to the parkiing lot. The next day it was stolen. If you want to keep your valueables, you have to chain them down. I've talked with my neighobor who is a maintenence guy here, he has told me that theft and burglery is a big problem. Management does nothing to increase safety.

The lease to this place is written in such a way that it is impossible to move out without monitary punishment unless you are on military leave or die.

The newest one is that I have to put a car port permit "in" my motorcyle. Notice that I said "in", this is what the leasing agent told me. I know this because they plastered my bike with an orange sticker that was locked under my carport that I pay for,for not having the permit. I asked how I was supposed to attach this to my bike, they replied,"put it on the mirror". OK what happens when it is stolen and my bike is towed' They told me I should tape it to the bike so that didn't happen. I then told them I would do the best I could but if the lock was cut and the bike was towed because of a stolen permit that they were responsible for the incurred costs and damages. They told me that they would not be responsible.

Like I mentioned earlier DO NOT MOVE HERE. If you currently live here I urge you to get out of your lease and put these people (crooks) out of business.

I could go on and on, unfortunatly my fingers are tired and my blood pressure is high just thinking about this place.

I think Aimee Snipes AIMEE SNIPES took over recently. She is really really unprofessional in resolving renters problems. I heard the same from so many people.
